Background: Acquired immune deficiency syndrome, also known as AIDS, is asyndrome featured by damage to the immune system and infections caused by the AIDSvirus (HIV) infection. All antiviral drugs can cause adverse reactions, severe affect patientmedication compliance, and even lead to interruption of antiretroviral therapy. Someadverse drug reactions that occur within a short time after the start of treatment, and thusto achieve a therapeutic effect, must always be concerned about, including the replacementof timely responses to treatment programs to help patients relief symptoms and improvetreatment compliance.Objective:1、872cases of AIDS patient data from free ART program in Shanghai from2009-2013were analyzed to give a description for the city’s AIDS epidemic situation, combined with the actual situation in the city, predicting future trends, to provide thescientific basis for develop prevention and control measures.2、Analyze Shanghai antiviral treatment of AIDS patient, evaluate the effect ofantiretroviral therapy, to provide a scientific basis for the further conduct standardizedantiretroviral therapy.3、Summarizes the incidence of Shanghai National AIDS patients free receivingantiretroviral therapy of adverse drug reactions and analyze the influencing factor, clinicaltherapy. Methods: Using descriptive methods of epidemiology to analyze data from theShanghai Public Health Clinical Center January12009to June302013included in thefree ART program data,872patients with AIDS research and evaluate all adverse drugreactions in patients on a regular basis clinical and laboratory. We use SPSS17.0andEXCEL to do statistical analysis.Results:1、We have a collection of872AIDS patient reports, of which735cases are male,and137are female, ratio of male to female is closer to5.3:1; age concentrated inparagraph30to49years old people, there is a growing trend from the young to the elder;career concentrated in in the entertainment industry up to (23.74%), followed bydomestic unemployment (16.97%); main route of infection was sexually transmitted, homosexual transmission accounted for54.93%, suggesting that high-risk MSM population should be a concern.2、From872AIDS patients receiving free ART,52cases died, and79cases associatedwith other chronic infections. Medication compliance rate was74.66%, the main treatmentprograms is based on AZT+3TC+EFV (53.95%),197cases replaced drugs, in mostcases, the number of CD4+T lymphocyte increased significantly. After a treatment for12months,18months and24months, the number CD4+T lymphocyte was higher thanbefore.3、722(82.80%) of872AIDS patients cases have drug-related adverse reactionsthroughout the course of treatment. The common short-term adverse reactions aregastrointestinal symptoms (35.67%), rash(15.14%), bone marrow suppression(11.14%),fatigue (5.05%) and central nervous system symptoms (7.80%), etc. Long-term adversereactions include effects of fat redistribution (5.62%), peripheral neuritis (6.88%), hepatictoxicity (5.50%) and so on. Treatment with AZT has a higher incidence of digestivesymptoms and anemia, treatment with D4T has major adverse reaction of changes in bodyand fat redistribution, treatment with EFV and NVP has a certain specific relevance withregimen with rashes and liver toxicity.Conclusions:1、Epidemic status of Shanghai AIDS are the main transmission is homosexualinfections, the number of infected cases rises rapidly each year. The government andparticipators should pay high attention to develop targeted prevention strategies toprevention of MSM people, to expand the coverage of HIV testing and counseling servicesand to raise awareness of the initiative to detect MSM population.2、The scale of Shanghai AIDS free antiretroviral therapy has expanded each year, with better anti-viral therapy. The number of patient’s CD4+T lymphocyte increasedsignificantly, most patients have good immune reconstitution effects, but there are differentdegrees of adverse drug reactions, treatment of AIDS remains to be done. Takingantiretroviral treatment to improve patient compliance, reducing the number of missedmedication to reduce withdrawal time midway timely detection of immune cells, carryingout timely replacement therapy and other measures may increase the probability ofsuccessful treatment and reduce mortality prolong the survival time.3、AIDS patients in Shanghai receiving free antiretroviral treatment-related drugshave a high incidence of adverse reactions, of which mild adverse drug reactions can beimproved after symptomatic treatment, most of the adverse reactions are within tolerable range; more serious adverse reactions, such as bone marrow suppression, rash and liverdysfunction will cause pain to the patient, even life-threatening, so immediate replacementdrugs are require. Antiviral treatment should be strengthened to monitor of adverse drugreactions and be dealt in time, to ensure the smooth progress of antiviral therapy.
