Objective:To discuss the operative outcomes of posterior condyletibial plateau fracture by posterior inverse "L" approach. Methods:From March2012toJune2013,10patients of posterior condyletibial plateau fracture were treated by posterior inverse "L"approach.Results:10patients were followed up for an average of11.5(rangingfrom9to12)months.X-ray showed that all patients was achievedreduction of anatomy immediately after operation. All fractures gotunited with an average X-ray bone union time of16(range from14-17)weeks and an average full weight-bearing time of17(range from15-24)week.The average ROM(range of motion) of the affected kneejoints was5°-130°at9mouths postoperatively. The average HSSscore was82.5(range from68-91),the rate of “excellent and good”was90%。There was no incision infection, fixation failure or bonenonunion.ConCluslon: Open reduction and internal fixation with buttressplates via a posterior inverse "L" approach is appropriate fortreatment of posterior condyle tibial plateau fracture.
