Study On Design Of Custom-made Root-Analogue Implant For Immediate Implant Placement

Implant denture has been widely used for the treatment of teeth defect repair. Compared with delayed implant placement, immediate implant placement, which gets more and more attention, has advantages of shorter treatment cycles, smaller burden on patients and as early as possible to restore chewing function and aesthetics. However, the major problem associated with immediate implant placement is the incongruity between the socket wall and the implant shape remains, which will lead to implant failure due to the lack of primary stability. Therefore, the custom-made, root-analogue implant has been proposed to solve this problem.This paper focuses on the design of custom-made, root-analogue implant for immediate implant placement. With the help of CBCT, RE, CAD and SLM RP technology, a method has been raised to design and manufacture the custom-made, root-analogue implant. The main work and achievements are as follows:(1) The design principles of custom-made, root-analogue implant have been proposed with the aspect of oral implant biology, the biomechanics of implants, the selection of material and implant type, implant denture and etc.(2) Through the method of experiment, study on the influence of bone defect and the amount of interference that affect implant primary stability and the relationship between the pressing force and implant primary stability, which are used to provide reference for the design of implant and clinical evaluation.(3) By using the finite element method, study on the influence of bone defect and the amount of interference that affect implant primary stability. The simulation results are compared with the experimental results, in order to verify the reliability of finite element method.(4) According to the design principle of custom-made root-analogue implant, this paper proposed a method to design and manufacture the custom-made, root-analogue implant.
