BackgroundOveractive bladder is a storage dysfunction without pathological reasons and with some main symptoms, such as with or without urge incontinence, urgency and frequency. The cause of OAB is not clear currently,so most of the treatment methods have some shortcomings. The acceptance of the patient for the drug and surgery is not so good due to the side effects of the drugs and the compliance of patient is not high. Also, patients will be worried about the complications and some other long term problems after the surgery. Implanting sacral nerve stimulation into the patients’body, which is called neuromodulation treatment, is now becoming the focus of such researches and is widely used in the clinical treatment of OAB. But, the implanting is so expensive and it needs further evidence to prove its security. However, acupuncture treatment of OAB is safe, effective and simple operation. Now there are so many clinical and animal experimental researches choosing BL32 as the main point to treat, and it has good curative effect. At the same time, it needs more complete research to think about the mechanism of action of acupuncture.ObjectiveTo detect whether electroacupuncturing at SP6 has inhibitory effect for OAB.Methods1. Set up models of OAB rats:keep 0.9% NaCl into bladder for 60 minutes at the speed of 6ml/L, and observe and record the normal micturition cycle, time and pressure data at the same time. Then keep 0.25% acetic acid into bladder for 12 minutes to set up models of OAB rats. If the time between two micturition is significantly shorter and the basis pressure of bladder increase, the OAB rats will be set up successfully.2. Next set BL32 group as the control group, the determination of rat bladder pressure, observation records time between two micturition, bladder basic pressure and the maximum urination, and various indexes before and after building before and after the curative observation and analysis of the changes, including SP6 to inhibit the action of the bladder, excessive activity exists or not, and think about the point nearby the acupuncture point(SP6) whether can also have inhibition effect or not, and compare the mechanism of action of SP6, thinking nerve segments on the acupuncture point do or don’t have the same effect.Result1 SP6 has the inhibitory effect on OAB.Acetic acid perfusion of bladder after the success of the building, acupunct SP6 on rats, and to give the curative intervention, to observe and record the whole process of rat urine time interval, the foundation of the bladder pressure and maximum pressure every time micturition, found that building bladder excessive activity of rats after micturition time interval was 165.716±28.801s, after acupunct SP6 the time was 319.724±24.605s, after vaginal intercourse, there is an obvious extension of urination time interval, it shows that excessive activity of bladder, including SP6 can produce effective inhibition.2 The point near SP6 (not the acupoint) does not have the inhibitory effect on OAB.The experiment set near the holes of the group of SP6 is deviating from that hole 5 mm, urinating after building time interval was 284.003± 24.788 s, and the curative intervention after micturition time interval was 338.627±24.622 s, the time interval between growth is not obvious that its can no longer significantly inhibited bladder excessive activity.3 Eletroacupuncture at BL32 could suppress bladder hyperactivity. Deep needling at BL32 must be get near to or touch the anterior branch of the sacral nerve.0.25% acetic acid was infosed to the bladder to cause irritation and after that electroacupuncture was given. Using cystometry, we found that electroacupuncture could increase the time between two micturition.4 The different acupuncture points with the same function correlation between spinal segments.BL32 and SP6 belong to the same nerve segments. Through the experiment, we found that they have similar effect on overactive bladder. But, at the same time, the influence factors may also include the position of SP6. So belong to similar whether ganglion segment points must have the same role also requires a lot of clinical and animal experiments to study and explore.ConclusionIn this experiment, we found that electroacupuncturing at SP6 has the inhibitory effect for overactive bladder and this may be associated with the same nerve segment.
