Objective:To know the energy metabolism status in severe pneumonia with congenital heart disease children experiencing mechanical ventilation;Evaluation of the energy predictive equations in children with severe pneumonia in severe pneumonia with congenital heart disease children experiencing mechanical ventilation;Find the actual resting energy expenditure in severe pneumonia with congenital heart disease children experiencing mechanical ventilation.Method:Gather 32 cases Children who was experiencing mechanical ventilation in ICU of Hunan Children’s Hospital for the study, of which 16 cases of severe pneumonia with congenital heart disease who was need mechanical ventilation, 16 cases of severe pneumonia in children with mechanical ventilation.Enrolled children are required to use intubation,within 24 hours,use The Med Grapics CCM energy measured resting metabolic vehicle to measured resting energy expenditure(MREE);Harris-Benedict equation White equation and WHO equation used for estimating the predict resting energy expenditure values.Result:In experimental group,Harris-Benedict equation were( 111.802±48.966)kcal/kg/d,White equation were(76.922±20.201)kcal/kg/d、WHO equation were(95.285±17.512)kcal/kg/d,the measure resting energy expenditure were(113.359±33.456)kcal/kg/d,there was statistically significant with the White equation and the WHO equation,there was no statistically significant with the Harris-Benedict equation.In the control group,Harris-Benedict equation were(85.603±42.644)kcal/kg/d,White equation were(56.528±13.262)kcal/kg/d、WHO equation were(73.428±9.627)kcal/kg/d,the measure resting energy expenditure were(86.325±30.222)kcal/kg/d,there was statistically significant with the White equation,there was no statistically significant with the Harris-Benedict equation and the WHO equation.There was statistically significant between the two groups with the measure resting energy expenditure.In experimental group.Conclusion:1)No prediction formula can accurately predict the energy metabolism in severe pneumonia with congenital heart disease children experiencing mechanical,we should use the indirect method of measurement to measure.2)The severe pneumonia with congenital heart disease children experiencing mechanical was hypometabolic.
