Study On Immunological Activity Of Polysaccharides Of Red Plgment Extract In Pyracantha Fortuneana In Vivo

Preface:Pyracantha fortuneana for the Rosaceae maloideae Pyracantha evergreen shrub or small tree fruit of wild plants, is a rich natural resources, In Hunan, Henan, Shaanxi, Sichuan, has wide distributionand large output. Pyracantha fortuneana fruit is not only nutritious, high edible value, its root, skin, leaves, fruit has" stimulate saliva andreduce thirst, heat detoxification, convergence anti diarrhea" effect, the fruit is used for healing isore, for yin deficiency, diarrhea and dysentery, other medicinal effects have been confirmed by the folk. Red pigment is extracted from natural Pyracantha fortuneana, belonging to anthocyanin. Anthocyanins have bright color, not only has the coloring effect better, but also have no mutagenic effect, not only used as food, cosmetic colorants, It also has anti-oxidation, inhibit cancer cell invasion, anti inflammation, protecting liver, cardiovascular and nervous system and other pharmacological activity. Research shows that, red pigment has free radical scavenging activity, antioxidant effect in vivo closely related to immune activity, there is no reseach about red pigment in vivo antitumor immune activity. In this paper, immune activity within the object of red plagment extract in paracantha fortuneana is reseached, to lay the foundation for the application and development of Pyracantha fortuneana fruit. Objective:To investigate modulate action of Red Pigment extract of Pyracantha fortuneana on cyclophosphamide induced low immunity mice for the application in raise livestock. Methods:the immunosuppressed mice were injected by cyclo-phosphamide (CTX). In order to detect the immunmodulatory effects of Red Pigment extract of Pyracantha fortuneana, The immune organ weights, the white blood cell counts in peripheral blood, the phagocytosis ability of Macrophage, the lymphocyte transformation(MTT methods), serum IL-2, the formation of hemolysin and hemolytic plaque were tested. Results:The results showed that Red Pigment extract of Pyracantha fortuneana at the does 2g/ml、1g/ml、0.5g/ml, can cause a signficant increase of WBC(P<0.05), thymus index, spleen index, (P<0.05)Phagocytic rate and Phagocytic index of Phagocyte, (P<0.05) the transformation rate of the spleen lymphocytes, (P<0.05)and the serurn IL-2(P<0.05), the formation of hemolysin and hemolytic plaque (P<0.05)in immunodepressed mice. Conclusion Red Plgment extract of Pyracantha fortuneana can significantly enhance the non-specific, cell mediated and humoral immunologieal function in immunodepressed mice. It was suggested that Red Plgment extract of Pyracantha fortuneana may be an effective immunomodulating agent.
