ObjectiveTo explore the application value in the diagnosis and classification and preoperative planning before clinical treatment of Mimics the 3D reconstruction technology.MethodsX-rays and images of CT and CT three dimensional reconstruction of 60 patients with fracture of tibial plateau in the third affiliated hospital of Xinxiang Medical University were collected from January 2010 to December 2014, and Mimics software was applied for 3D reconstruction.4 Senior orthopedic surgeons and orthopedic surgeons were invited respectively to diagnose alone according to the four kinds of imaging information above during the period of 2 months. Their diagnostic accuracy was comparatively analyzed.3 patients with fracture of tibial plateau were chosen again to be modeled with Mimics, physicians carrying preoperative assessment directly on the PC according to the 3D dynamic model and simulating the operation process.Results1. Doctors can see more comprehensively and completely about fracture through the Mimics 3D reconstruction image on their PCs. In this study 3 cases of fracture block were found ignored in the X-ray plain film.2. Basis on Schatzker’s classification method, the statistical evaluation difference was not obvious in the classification of tibial plateau fracture by the reconstruction using X-ray,2 DCT and CT the three dimension and Mimics the three dimensional modeling during the interval of 2 months. There was no statistical significance (X-ray,2DCT and CT three dimensional reconstruction and Mimics the three dimensional modeling of senior and young group P> 0.05). According to the comparison of the percentage difference of the two diagnosis methods, the percentage difference the 4 diagnostic methods with X-ray, 2D CT and CT three-dimensional reconstruction and Mimics respectively decreases one after another. And Mimics 3D reconstruction could reflect the fracture situation more clearly, accurately measure the degree of tibial plateau fracture involving the joint surface, and guide surgical treatment.3.3 cases of practical application of the virtual 3D reconstruction model make surgeons get a 360°all-round awareness of the fracture and surgical options, completing the whole operating process simulation. Surgeons get awareness of the defects of the operation and perfect the procedure before the actual operation.Conclusion1. X-ray has foldover,2D CT and CT three-dimensional reconstruction in a certain extent solved its defects. Mimics the virtual 3D reconstruction images can make clinicians get more comprehensive information from the graphics.2. Clinicians can get Mimics the three-dimensional reconstruction technique of fracture of tibial plateau three-dimensional model, can let clinician multi-angle, all-round, direct observation of fracture space position relations and the morphology of fracture by three-dimensional fracture of tibial plateau model with the Mimics the three-dimensional reconstruction technique.3. Clinicians can simulate the whole operation, rehearse and optimizing design with Mimics software to reduce patient pain, improve the success rate of surgery, and reduce complications.
