Objective:To study the clinical significance of the dynamic intracranial pressure (ICP) monitoring in patients after acoustic neuroma operation. Methods:Based on retrospective summary, all 48 patients were divided into the dynamic ICP monitoring group (24 cases)and the with no dynamic ICP monitoring group(24 cases). Compare the different of the use of mannitol and complications between the monitoring group and non-monitoring group; At the same time, based on the Glasgow outcome scale (GOS), the different of the prognosis was compared between the two groups. Results:There was no difference in the complications between two groups(P>0.05), and there was difference in the prognosis and the use of mannitol(the dynamic ICP monitoring group is 459 ml; the with no dynamic ICP monitoring group is 1125 ml)after operation between two groups(P < 0.05), the prognosis of ICP monitoring group was superior to that without ICP monitoring group. Conclusion:The dynamic intracranial pressure monitoring can detect the changes of intracranial pressure timely after acoustic neuroma operation, and the monitoring technology also can effectively guide the clinical use of mannitol.
