Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of the treatment of the extensive sclerosis and occlusion of the lower extremity arterial outflow tract by the combination of the treatment of the combination of Western medicine and Western medicine. Methods: using a computer search of MEDLINE, EMBASE, PubMed, CNKI full text database(CNKI), Wanfang database and Chinese biomedical literature database; assisted by manual retrieval. Search deadline as of December 2014. The quality of the material was evaluated independently by 2 reviewers. The evaluation of the material was evaluated by third reviewers and the agreement was discussed. Finally, the homogeneity study was analyzed by RevMan 5.3. Results: 13 patients were included in the final 1317 literatures, of which 4 were randomly and 9 were retrospectively analyzed.. The experimental group(652 cases, Lei Gongteng combined with Western Medicine) and control group(Western medicine group) 665 cases, Lei Gongteng combined with western medicine therapy on reducing vascular inflammation in the treatment of arteriosclerosis obliterans in extensive outflow tract of lower extremity arteries(MD=-3.13, 95%CI(-3.31,-2.95), P<0.00001), the difference was statistically significant, suggesting that combined with western medicine group Lei Gongteng is better than the control group; improve the limb toe temperature(RR=0.24, 95%CI(0.16, 0.36), P<0.00001), the difference was statistically significant, suggesting that Lei Gongteng combined with western medicine group than the control group; and reduce complications of [RR=0.49, 95%CI, P=0.005](0.30, 0.81), the difference was statistically significant, suggesting that Lei Gongteng combined with western medicine group better than the control group. There was no significant difference in renal function(MD=-1.96, 95%CI(-5.33, 1.41), P=0.25), and there were no significant differences between the two groups in the treatment group and the control group. Conclusion: Tripterygium wilfordii combined with western medicine treatment in lower extremity arterial outflow tract extensive occlusive disease treatment in reducing vascular inflammation(C-reactive protein), suffer from limb toe temperature is superior to western medicine treatment group.
