Objective:By detecting the levels of serum homocysteine, discusses the relationship between homocysteine and ischemic stroke. Methods:Select the department of neurology in May 2013 - May 2014 of 42 admitted patients with ischemic stroke. At the same time, Select 42 patients who healthy check-up in our hospital physical examination center as the research object, observe the two groups and compared the level of homocysteine, triglyceride, total cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) and other biochemical indicators, and the level of homocysteine in different gender patients with cerebral infarction, and different severity of ischemic stroke patients with the the levels of (?)omocysteine, discusses the relationship between homocysteine and ischemic stroke.Result:1. Cerebral infarction group of plasma homocysteine levels was 17.69 ± 8.02 umol/L,The control group of plasma homocysteine levels was 6.63 ± 2.17umol/L, and homocysteine levels in cerebral infarction group was obviously higher than that of control group, comparing the two groups the difference is statistically significant (p< 0.05).2. According to sex divided into two groups of cerebral infarction, the women of homocysteine levels was 17.69±7.60 umol/L, the men of homocysteine levels was 17.85 ±7.81 umol/L, there was no statistically significant difference between two groups.3. Compared the cerebral infarction group with control group in age, triglycerides, cholesterol, low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), two groups of patients in age, triglycerides, total cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) indicators is no significant difference (p> 0.05).4. In patients with cerebral infarction were divided into mild, moderate and severe cerebral infarction three groups, mild homocysteine levels in patients with cerebral infarction was 12.2 ± 2.8 umol/L, moderate cerebral infarction patients was 16.3 ± 1.8 umol/L, severe cerebral infarction patients was 28.1 ± 6.3 umol/L, three groups of homocysteine levels in patients with cerebral infarction between difference is statistically significant. Conclusion:In ischemic stroke patients have higher homocysteine levels and closely associated with ischemic stroke, to regularly testing the level of homocysteine in the blood and given treatment, can be prevented and treatmented of cerebral infarction, reduce the occurrence of cerebral infarction and improve the patients life quality.
