Objective : Through animal experiments to investigate the influence of different bundle fracture of anterior cruciate ligament on the medial meniscus, provide experiment basis for clincially similar disease treatment.Methods:36 New Zealand rabbits were randomly divided into three groups( n=12), their right legs were used to make Antelromedial bundle(AMB)fracture models,Psoterolateral(PLB) fracture models and no fracture models.At4th、6th、8th week after operation, record the knee behavioral score of the operation side in experimental animals.Take the meniscus histological section of operation side for HE stain. The percentage of MMP-13( matrix metalloproteinase-13)was assayed by immunohisto chemical staining.Results:1.At 4th、6th、8th week after operation,no fracture group showed normal collagen fiber and cartilage cells form,no blood vessels and inflammatory cell, collagen fiber bundle was thick, arrange in order,AMB fracture group and PLB fracture group showed uneven surface of meniscus, loose tissue, disorder of collagen fiber, infiltration of inflammatory cell.2.At 4th、6th、8th week after operation, the knee behavioral scores in no fracture showed no statistical significant(P>0.05),In AMB fracture group and PLB fracture group, the knee behavioral scores was lower in the 6th and 8th week than that in the 4th week, showing significant difference(P<0.05);the knee behavioral scores was lowerin the 8th week than that in the 6th week showing significant difference(P<0.05);at the same observation time point, the knee behavioral scores was lower in AMB fracture group and PLB fracture group than that in no fracture group, showing significant difference(P<0.05),the knee behavioral scores between AMB fracture group and PLB fracture group showed no statistical significant(P>0.05).3.In the 4th,6th,8th week, percentage of MMP-13 has no significant change in no fracture group(P>0.05),In AMB fracture group and PLB fracture group, percentage of MMP-13 was higher in the 6th and 8th week than that in the 4th week, showing significant difference(P<0.05),percentage of MMP-13 was higher in the 8th week than that in the 6th week showing significant difference(P<0.05).at the same observation time point, percentage of MMP-13 was higher in AMB fracture group and PLB fracture group than that in no fracture group, showing significant difference(P<0.05),percentage of MMP-13 was higher in AMB fracture group than that in PLB fracture group, showing significant difference(P < 0.05).Conclusion : 1.Different bundle of anterior cruciate ligament rupture could cause degeneration of medial meniscus;2.Compared to PLB fracture,AMB fracture are more likely to cause the medial meniscus degeneration.
