The human heart,like the engine of the car, is the power source of the whole body. External counter pulsation(ECP) is a noninvasive assisted circulation device. It plays a positive and curative role in increasing the blood supply for the heart and brain, promoting collateral circulation of the ischemic tissue and organs; This non-invasive technique utilizes the serial inflation of three sets of cuffs which wrap around the calves, thighs and buttocks. Inflation and deflation is timed to the patient’s Electrocardiograph(ECG) and the arterial pressure waveform is monitored non-invasively. The overall hemodynamic effect is to provide diastolic augmentation and thus increase coronary pressure and unload systolic cardiac workload and therefore my ocardial oxygen demand.In this paper, we analyze the principle of the pulse test system and External counter pulsation equipment. A measure and design based on pulse signal and External counter pulsation system is presented. An upper and lower computer system, which is composed of computer and ARM7, was designed for measure and control. The system using an efficient de-noising algorithm for removing baseline drift, disturbances of working frequency and electromy ography in human pulse signals is proposed based on wavelet transform theory. This new control system only needs measure finger pulse wave to extract the start point of the inflation and deflation timing.
