Objective:to investigate the feasibility and safety of uterine artery embolism(UAE) combined curettage. Methods:this is a retrospective review of 42 cases of patients diagnosed with cervical pregnancy admitted in our hospital from 2000 to 2013. All the patients were allocated to group A(17 cases) treated with UAE and group B(25 cases) were treated with Mifepristone. Both group were followed by Hysteroscopic curettage. Hospitalization time, Blood loss during the curettage, Uterus resection rate and the time till resolution of serum-13 Human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) were analyzed among those two groups. Results:Hospitalization time were 9(8,10.5)days and 12(8,17)days; Blood loss were 80(50,100)ml and 200(50,550)ml; Uterus resection rate were 5.88% and 20.00%; these difference was statistically significant between two groups(P<0.05), the time till resolution of serum-β HCG 5(3,7.5)weeks in group A and 4(1,8.5)weeks in group B, and has no significant difference groups(.P>0.05).Conclusion:uterine artery embolism combined curettage reduce the risk of hysterectomy due to excessive bleeding, retained the patient’s fertility, improve the patients quality of life, and obviously shorten the hospitalization days, have obvious superiority and security compared with other methods, is worth extensive application in clinic.
