ObjectiveFind out the effects of modified Bazhen decoction combined chemotherapy on peripheral blood lymphocyte subsets CD3、CD4、CD8 of patients through observing the Myelotoxicity clinical curative effect on the chemotherapy of lung cancerMethods90 cases of lung cancer patients who were admitted from December 2012 to December 2014 were selected and randomly divided into experimental group A, experimental group B, and control group,30 patients for each group. Group A using modified Bazhen decoction, group B using ancient Bazhen decoction, and control group using exclusively chemotherapy treatment. After two courses of treatment, various data were observed including syndromes curative effect, clinical effectiveness, KPS score, compared routine blood test and the changes of CD3+,CD4+and CD8+level of peripheral blood before and after the treatment. SPSS 19.0 statistical software was used to perform the statistical analysis. There were statistical differences if P<0.05.ResultsBoth the experimental groups can improve the pass rate of chemotherapy, and P<0.05. On the 7th day, the 14th day, and the 21st day of the first course of treatment and on the 7th day of the second course of treatment, white blood cell level of the experimental group A is higher than the control group, with P <0.05 for all groups. On the 14th day and 21st day of second course of treatment, white blood cell level of both the experimental group A and group B are higher than the treatment group, with P<0.05. On the 14th day and 21st day of second course of treatment, platelet level of the experimental group A is higher than the control group, with P<0.05. TCM symptoms of both two experimental groups are better than the control group, with P<0.05. TCM symptoms of both two experimental groups are compared, P<0.05. The treatment of the experimental group A can improve serum levels of CD3+ and CD4+, with P<0.05.ConclusionBoth modified Bazhen decoction and ancient Bazhen decoction can effectively ease the clinical symptoms caused by chemotherapy, which is called deficiency of vital energy in traditional Chinese medicine. They also can reduce the degree of myelotoxicity, and modified Bazhen decoction is more effective. Both of them can improve tolerance to chemotherapy for patients with lung cancer, and increase the passing rate of chemotherapy. Modified Bazhen decoction can rise the ratio of serum CD4+/CD8+, prevent the levels of CD3, CD4 from decreasing induced by chemotherapy. It can improve the immune function.
