Purpose:This paper is developed based on acupuncture on SI2 in contralateral of cerebral thrombosis patients. Transcranial Doppler Ultrasound (TCD) was used to observe the five time points, and investigate the variation of bilateral MCA blood velocity. The impact of bilateral MCA in blood velocity, pulsatory, and blood resistance of each period after acupuncture on SI2 will be explored so as to provide the reference of whether applying such acupuncture point to cerebral thrombosis patients.Method:30 cerebral thrombosispatients with average age ranging from 40 years old to 75 years old were selected according to diagnostic criteria, inclusion criteria, exclusion criteria and rejection criteria. To observe TCD variations considering contralateral and same side MCA in different times by acupuncture on SI2 of contralateral part.Laboratory temperature should be 20-26℃, and relative humidity should be 45-55%. At first, detailed experimental process, procedures, and safety should be explained to selected patients. Experiments will start after patients’agreements. A TCD professional will be responsible for operation, an experienced acupuncturist is in charge of acupuncture, besides, a recorder is needed.Patient is asked to lie down in a quiet state.10 minutes later, experiment got started. The patient need to tilt his head to sideward, and leftthe contralateral tempora fully exposed. The ultrasound probe is placed on the temporal window, take samples from saturated image after stable ultrasonic signal is achieved.Investigate the data 10 mins before acupuncture, after the needle insertion, after the needle stimulation, at the time of the needle removal and 10 min after the needle removal.Same method will be applied to the other side, and data need to be recorded. At last, data will be recorded in the SPSS 17.0 to check whether it is statistically significant by using one-way ANOVA. P<0.05 was statistically significant.Result:1.The impact of patients’focus side blood velocity and PI & RI succeeding acupuncture on contralateral SI 2:Compared Vs、Vm of MCA during acupuncture,at the time of the needle removal and after the needle removal with 10 min before acupuncture respectively, the value fell with statistically significance(P<0.05); compared Vd of at the time of the needle removal and after the needle removalwith 10 min before acupuncture respectively, the value fell deeply(P<0.05); compared PI、RI of during needle insertion, during the needle stimulation, during the needle removal and after needle removal, with status before acupuncture respectively, there was no significant difference (P> 0.05).2. The impact of patients’same side blood velocity and PI & RI succeeding acupuncture on contralateral SI 2:compared contralateral TCD variation of Vs、Vd、Vm、PI、RI in during needle insertion, during the needle stimulation, during the needle removal and after needle removal, and 10 min before acupuncture respectively, there was no significant difference (P> 0.05).Conclusion:1. After acupuncture on contralateral SI2, MCA blood velocity slows down consideringduring the needle stimulation, during the needle removal and after needle removal, and had residual effects:The results had no relation withpulsatility index and vascular resistance index.2.After acupuncture on contralateral SI2, no variation was caused considering same side MCA flow velocity and PI&RI, suggesting that there was no effect on MCA when acupuncture on same side SI2.
