[Objective]Many factors may contribute to the development of primary hepatocelluar carcinoma, and about 90% of HCC is associated with long-term chronic inflammation or liver damage. Chronic inflammation brings improper repair response, result in liver cell death and regeneration; long-term chronic liver damage is closely related to the abnormal nodules and the occurrence of cancer. As inflammation related to tumor, the occurrence of primary liver cancer development may have a certain correlation with CysLT1R(Cysteinyl Leukotriene Recepter). The aims of the shudy is to investigate the expression of Cysteinyl Leukotriene Recepter in HCC hepatocellular carcinoma tissues and its clinical significance.[Methods]Cancerous tissues and paraneoplastic liver tissues were collected from 30 HCC patients and 12cases of normal control from liver hemagioma patients. Male 19 cases and femal 11 cases, ages from 39 to 68, median age 52 years old.All selected patients are diagnosed according to’standard of clinical diagnosis and staging of primary liver cancer’. We use Real Time PCR and immunohistochemistry techniques to determine the expression of CysLTIR in these tissues and the relationship with clinical pathological features.[Result]1.In patients with primary liver cancer, the level of CysLTIR mRNA is higher in para-carcinoma liver tissues(0.0339±0.0221) than that in the paried HCC tissues (0.0127±0.0116) and normal liver tissues(0.0154±0.0123).But there was no difference between HCC and normal liver tissues(P>0.05).The level of CysLTIR mRNA has nothing to do with the patients’ gender, age (P> 0.05), but is associated with the tumour stage in adjacent liver tissues (P=0.008) and normal liver tissues (P=0.026).2.The expression of CysLTlR in adjacent liver tissues (100%) is higher than that in the HCC (43.33%) and normal liver tissues (41.67%). But there was no difference between HCC and normal liver tissues (P>0.05)3. The expression of CysLT1R with clinical parameters. We devided 30 patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) into different groups according to the clinical stage, prognosis and serum AFP level. We can find that the expression of CysLT1R significantly related to clinical stages (P=0.042), but have nothing to do with the patient’s sex, age, AFP level, HBV infection (P> 0.05).4. Survival analysis The survival time is different from 1month to 60 months, the median time 31.7 month. The higher level of CysLT1R and AFP often brings a bad prognosis, and patients in stage Ⅰ-Ⅱ (TNM)live longer than those in stage Ⅲ-Ⅳ. However, no evident relationship between the survival time and other colinical features of were observed.[Conclusion]The level of CysLT1R in adjacent liver tissues is higher than that in the HCCliver tissues in patients with primary hepatocelluar carcinoma. The over-expression of CysLT1R may contribute to the occurrence and progression of HCC.
