Medial collateral ligament injury is a common kind of knees ligament ailment. This disease can cause localized pain and activity obstacle, bring the inconveniences in daily life. I and II degrees injury just need conservative treatment. While in the modern medicine there is lack of effective therapeutic method. The traditional Chinese medicine has a wealth of experience in treating with traumatology disease. So, we discuss a traditional acupuncture method for Medial collateral ligament injury.ObjectiveThis article focuses on the patients of Medial collateral ligament injury, and the treatment method of opposing needling Neiguan point combined with electric acupuncture was applied. By observing the Lysholm score, VAS score, and the width of internal joint apace under the X-ray, to assess the clinical effects.Methods60 qualified medial collateral ligament injury patients were included in the study. And 30 cases in treatment group while the other in control group by randomization method. And in the treatment group, the opposing needling Neiguan point combined with electric acupuncture was implemented. As well as the merely electric acupuncture operated in control group. There were Continue 5 times once a week and continue 2 courses. Through comparing the observation index to evaluate their curative effects.ResultsBefore beginning the therapy, the average of Lysholm scores, VAS scores and the width of internal joint apace were recorded, and by performing statistics analysis, there were no significant difference (P>0.05). while accepted the different treatment strategies, the data were recounted. According to the Lysholm scores, the data increased in both group, while the treatment group increased trend could be more significant (P<0.01), comparison with VAS scores, the data were sharply decreased, and the treatment group was evidently (P<0.01). in spite of the decreasing of the width of internal joint apace in the two groups, there were no statistical difference between them (P>0.05). the clinical efficacy were statistically analyzed, and the treatment group total effective rate was 93.37%, and superior remarkably to control group (83.33%).Conclusionthe treatment method of opposing needling Neiguan point combined with electric acupuncture can be used for I and II degrees medial collateral ligament injury patients. And it is effectively in alleviating pain, improving the joint function, enhance quality of life.
