As common monitoring means in spinal surgery intraoperative, somatosensory evoked potentials increasingly used in clinical practice. Recently, the spinal disease becomes more popular and troubles more young people. With increasing pressure of modern life, more and more people are suffering lumbar disc herniation, cervical disease and others spinal disease. Surgery plays more important roles in the treatment for these diseases.Thinking of high risk of spinal surgery, in order to make sure the surgery go smoothly and avoid complication disease, more accurate and rapid monitoring equipment is in need. Objective:To improve the portability of front part, quality of signal and reduce time cost of signal acquirement, this study will use wireless transmission technology, filtering designed on FPGA. A simulation training system of SEP should also be designed in this study. In addition, experience for testing the performance of these systems should be designed. Methods:This study uses the wireless transmission, FPGA filtering and Lab VIEW to optimize the somatosensory evoked potential signal acquisition system. A simulation training system of SEP is also designed in this study to train medical staff. The tested training system should be taken as a tool to test the signal acquisition system. Then Animal experiments are measured to test signal acquisition system, with 12 SD rats in the experiment. Results:According to the results of experiment, the following three aspects are analyzed. [1]The advantage of time-frequency analysis:the feature of SEP in time-frequency change greater than time view. [2]Comparison of new composite filter with overlaid filter:new designed FPGA filter can effectively reduce the signal acquisition time and also help the further analysis of the signal. [3]Automatic early warning results criteria:8 rats past the automatic alarm test. Conclusion:in this study, somatosensory evoked potential signal acquisition system are designed, which can give an automatic early warning advice and significantly reduce the time cost for signal acquisition.
