Objective:To deepen the cognition of dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP) on neck based on a rare case reported and its related articles.Methods:Analyze and summarize the clinical medical record of the patient, and discuss the etiologys, clinical features,histopathological characteristics, diagnosis, differential diagnosis and treatment according to the related references.Result:The patient presented with skin pitting erythema and nodules on the left neck as the main clinical manifestations. Skin tissue pathology showed the change of mat striate and rung shape. Immunohistochemical staining:CD34 strong positive, vimentin positive, S-100 negative. The clinical manifestations, histopathological and immunohistochemical changes were consistent with literature reports. In addition, the diagnosis was established for the differential diagnosis which identifies with the similar diseases.Conclusion:Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP) is apt to be misdiagnosed. Its prognosis is better and the recurrence rates are high. Diagnosis should be based on conventional pathological examination combining with the immunohistochemical techniques.
