| Objective:To discuss Two-dimensional ultrasound,2D-US and Color Doppler FLow Imaging, CDFI of the clinical value of hypothyroidism after radiotherapy of nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Methods:Object of study included 40 patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma from October to December in 2013 at radiation oncology Department of Guangxi Medical Hospital. Measure left-right diameter, anteroposterior diameter, volume, the highest systolic velocity(Vmax)of the superior thyroid artery and the level of thyroid hormone before and after radiotherapy for patients. Analyze the differences of thyroid function indexes during the different radiotherapy stage, and correlation between the changes of thyroid and thyroid hormone. Results: â‘ Thyroid volume, anteroposterior diameter and left-right diameter decreased with time after NPC postradiotheraphy., the highest systolic velocity of the superior thyroid artery showed a rising trend.Different time points before and after NPC radiotherapy on thyroid ultrasound index difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05); Anteroposterior diameter, left-right diameter, volume and the highest systolic velocity of the superior thyroid artery have statistical significance between before radiotherapy and 6ã€12months group (P<0.05); 12 months group after radiotherapy has the statistical difference with 6 months groups (P<0.05); the highest systolic velocity of the superior thyroid artery After radiotherapy,6 months group has the statistical difference with 3 months gorup (P<0.05); â‘¡ Anteroposterior diameter, left-right diameter and volume have positive collelation with FT4 after radiotherapy changes (P<0.05), and have negative correlation with TSH(P<0.05); the highest systolic velocity of the superior thyroid artery after radiotherapy has positive correlation with TSH changes (P<0.05); and have negative correlation with FT4〠FT3(P<0.05).Conclusion:Thyroid volume, anteroposterior diameter and left-right diameter decreased with time after NPC postradiotheraphy; FT3 and FT4 decreased; the highest systolic velocity of the superior thyroid artery showed a rising trend. Detect the thyroid volume, anteroposterior diameter, left-right diameter and the highest systolic velocity of the superior thyroid artery by the ultrasonic detection to assess the changes of thyroid function after radiotherapy. |
