Objective:To explore the value of serum CEA^ CA19-9 and CA125 in the diagnosis of biliary tract cancer. Methods:Retrospective analyzed the serum CA19-9 n CEA and CA125 levels of hospitalized patients with the benign and malignant biliary tract diseases in Hepatic Surgery of Lan Zhou University Second Hospital, admitted in November 2012 to October 2014. To calculate and analyze the index of serum CEA、CA19-9 and CA125. To assess the value of singal and combine detection three markers in the diagnosis of biliary tract cancer.Resualts:l.The value of three serum markers in the diagnosis of gallbladder cancer and cholangiocarcinoma. The level of serum CEA in gallbladder cancer group and benign group were 26.80±72.65ng/ml,2.05±1.43ng/ml respectively (P=0.077,> 0.05), the difference was no statidtically significant. The level of serum CA19-9 were 310.53±386.33U/ml,47.16±117.42U/ml respectively (P=0.001,<0.05), the difference was statidtically significant. The level of serum CA125 were 129.79±196.56U/ml,16.42±18.92U/ml respectively (P=0.004,<0.05),the difference was statidtically significant. The level of serum CEA in cholangiocarcinoma group and benign group were 5.86±7.21ng/ml,2.05±1.43ng/ml respectively (P=0.003,< 0.05), the difference was statidtically significant. The level of serum CA19-9 were 458.38±408.69U/ml,47.16±117.42U/ml respectively(P=0.00,<0.05), the difference was statidtically significant. The level of serum CA125 were 56.83±85.15U/ml, 16.42±18.92U/ml respectively (P=0.006,<0.05), the difference was statidtically significant. The sensitivity and specificity of serum CA19-9 in the diagnosis of gallbladder cancer were 72.4% and 78.4%, The sensitivity and specificity of serum CA125 were 75.9% and 82.4%; The sensitivity and specificity of serum CEA in the diagnosis of cholangiocarcinoma were 76.3% and 66.7%, The sensitivity and specificity of serum CA19-9 were 86.8% and 86.3%, The sensitivity and specificity of serum CA125 were 71.1% and 82.4%.2. The value of three serum markers in the diagnosis of biliary tract cancer. The level of serum CEA in malignant group and benign group were 14.93±48.76 ng/ml,2.05±1.43ng/ml respectively (P=0.034,< 0.05), the difference was statidtieally significant. The level of serum CA19-9 were 349.61±388.29 U/ml,47.16±117.42U/ml respectively (P=0.000,<0.05), the difference was statidtieally significant. The level of serum CA125 were 87.90±147.84 U/ml,16.42±18.92U/ml respectively (P=0.000,<0.05), the difference was statidtieally significant. In the diagnosis of biliary tract cancer the sensitivity and specificity of serum CEA,CA19-9,CA125,the combination of CEA and CA19-9, the combination of CEA and CA125, the combination of CA19-9 and CA125, the combination of CEA and CA19-9 and CA125 were 79.1% and 66.7%,86.1% and 86.3%,73.1% and 82.4%,68.7% and 88.2%,67.2% and 88.2%,79.1% and 90.2%,79.1% and 86.3%,respectively.Conclusions:1.The detection of both serum markers CEA、CA19-9 and CA125 are valuable in the diagnosis of biliary tract cancer.2.Relatively, the most valuable serum marker in the diagnosis of gallbladder cancer is CA125;while the most valuable serum marker in the diagnosis of cholangiocarcinoma is CA19-9.3.Combined detection of serum markers can improve the diagnostic specificity. CA19-9 combined with CA125 can get the best value in the diagnosis of biliary tract cancer.
