Introduction:Prostate Cancer (PCa) is a common malignant tumor in elder man, which threatens human health severely. Digital rectal examination(DRE) and Prostate specific antigen(PSA) are often used for the early detection of PCa. Prostate MRI and Emission Computed Tomography(ECT) of bones have important significance for clinical stages. The way to conform a prostate cancer relies on transrectal prostatic biopsy and the Gleason score of the biopsy specimen can estimate the malignancy of the cancer. So investigating the relationship among serum PSA, free-to-total PSA ratio(f/t PSA), Clinical stages, Gleason Score of Prostate biopsy, surgical pathology in PCa patients is of great importance. Objective:To investigate the relationship among serum PSA, free-to-total PSA ratio(f/t PSA), Clinical stages, Gleason Score of Prostate biopsy, surgical pathology in PCa patients is of great importance. Methods:A retrospective analysis was done for 275 prostate cancer patients who were treated in Shandong Provincial Hospital during Jan 2008 to Aug 2014, and 89 of them were treated with radical prostatectomy. Their tPSA, f/t PSA, clinical stages, Gleason score of prostate biopsy and surgical pathology were analyzed by Spearman rank correlation using SPSS.Results:TPSA has a positive correlation relationship with Gleason score of prostate biopsys(r=0.534; p<0.01), clinical stage(r=0.573; p<0.01) and Gleason score after the surgery(r=0.475; p<0.01); When PSA is 0-4 ng/ml, f/t PSA has a negative correlation relationship with Gleason score of prostate biopsy(r=-0.422; p<0.01), but no relationship with clinical stages; When PSA is 4-10 ng/ml,f/t PSA has no relationship with both Gleason score and clinical stages; Clinical stages has a positive correlation relationship with Gleason score of prostate biopsy(r= 0.431; p<0.01) and Gleason score after the surgery (r=0.408; P<0.01);Gleason score of prostate biopsy has a positive relationship with Gleason score after the surgery (r=0.606; p<0.01).Conclusion:By analyzing the statistics of patients with prostate cancer in Shandong Provincial Hospital. We can see that tPS A positive correlated with clinical stages, Gleason score; While f/t PSA is negative correlated with Gleason score when PSA is 0-4ng/ml; Clinical stages has a positive correlation relationship with Gleason score of prostate biopsy.
