Background and Significance:Peripheral nerve palsy is stem mastoid hole with acute non suppurative facial paralysis caused by the surrounding facial nerve paralysis. Which is one of the common and multiplex diseases in clinical practice, accounting for about 73% of the total facial paralysis, the incidence is 0.2% per year, there was no gender difference, the most frequent by unilateral, suffering from double sides uncommon (accounting for about 0.2% of the total facial paralysis) With a sudden profound on one side, facial paralysis in the clinical features, mouth and eyes distorted as the main symptoms, is one of the most common in children’s facial nerve paralysis, the incidence increased year by year, some children leaving sequela, It is not only let children and family physical and psychology agony, but also cause serious social economic load. Facial paralysis caused by many reasons, it has been proven by multiple infections、nervous system disease、congenital diseases、 tumors、trauma、system disease、etc, the pathogenesis of the disease is not clear, however, a large number of domestic and foreign literature shows that the disease is related to autoimmunity.Treg and Th17 cells were found in recent years, it is the new CD4+T lymphocyte subtypes, research have shown that it is closely related to a variety of autoimmune diseases, but less research in peripheral facial neuritis.Research think that normally CD4+T cells under the effect of the TGF-β can be divided into Treg cells. When associated with inflammation and infection, under the effect of the TGF-β and IL-6 can differentiate into Th17, Th17 cells mainly through produce cytokines such as IL-21,IL-6, IL-23, etc, promote inflammation, and Treg cells is mainly through the IL-35, IL-10, TGF-β cytokines plays an immunosuppressive effect, and constraints on each other, Thl7/Treg cells related factor to the destruction of the balance is the key factor in many inflammatory and autoimmune diseases 。 This research using ELISA method to predict TGF-β, IL-17, IL-6, IL-21,23, IL-35, IL-IL-lO.Explore the correlation of Treg/Th17 cells related cytokines and peripheral facial neuritis of children, not only provides a theoretical basis of the disease, but also it provides an important theoretical basis and new targets for new specific immunotherapy,Methods:1. Collect cases:Collected 32 cases from January 2012 to January 2013 in our hospital about peripheral facial paralysis, all of these are the initial episode, they did not use any of glucocorticoid (a hormone steroid) or cytotoxic drugs over four weeks, ages from 1 to 8,the average age is 4.5 years old,Female 15 cases,Male 17 cases, all of these are suffering on one side.Normal control group:32 cases of the same age and sex, the children is no history of allergy, infection and immune deficiency.all subjects were informed and consent and approved by the hospital ethics committee academic discussion. All specimens were extracted in the early morning on an empty stomach peripheral blood.2. Serum:This research using ELISA method to predict facial paralysis patients and the healthy children about TGF-P, IL-17, IL-6, IL-21, IL-23, IL-35, IL-10 levels, and analyze its correlation with peripheral facial paralysis.Results:1. Peripheral facial paralysis in children with peripheral blood about the levels of IL-6,IL-17, IL-21, IL-23 compared with healthy children of the same age and sex, increased significantly (P< 0.05), IL-10 levels significantly lower compared with normal controls (P< 0.05), the difference was statistically significant;2. Peripheral facial paralysis in children the levels of IL-35, there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups (P> 0.05).Conclusion:Around peripheral facial paralysis in the peripheral blood in children with IL-21, IL-23 levels increased significantly, and IL-10 levels significantly lower compared with normal controls, IL-21, IL-23 for Th17 related cytokines, IL 10 for Treg related cytokines, the ratio imbalance, it may be the important factors affecting the development of facial paralysis.
