| Objective:The primary aim of this study wanted to examine the relationship between positoior displacement of condylar and temporomandibular diseases through T-scan test and Friction temporomandibular joint function check file, which would find the role of positoior displacement of condylar in TMD.Methods:125 cases were choosen from the patients with TMD that have clear radiography checks. Their chief complaints were that the noise of condylar in the moving of mandibular% the pain of temporomandibular joint or muscles associated. The patients include 56 male and 69 female, age 19-53 years, average 36.91 years. Every patient was analysised by the T-Scan II system and radiography of temporomandibular jointã€TMD clinical check.Through the clinical examination and the CMI score to evaluate the degree of TMD symptoms.by using the methods try to find out the relation between positoior displacement of condylar and temporomandibular diseases.Results:1. Through radiography of temporomandibular joint, the number of patients with positoior displacement of condylar is 68,which’s proportion is 54.4%. The number of male patients with positoior displacement of condylar is 27,which’s proportion is 21.6%. The number of female patients with positoior displacement of condylar is 41,which’s proportion is 32.8%.2. The patients with condylar positoior displacement, which VAS value 2.532±1.538 have no difference with the patients with normal condylar position, which VAS value 1.399±0.437.3. The patients with condylar positoior displacement, which CMI value 2.532±1.538 have difference with the patients with normal condylar position, which CMI value 0.227±0.017.4. Through statistical analysis, MVO and RLE in the patients with condylar positoior displacement are different from the patients with normal condylar position. PE and LLE in the patients with condylar positoior displacement have no difference from the patients with normal condylar position.5. The positoior displacement of condylar may cause click of TMJ articular disc. The odds ratio is 2.451,and the X2 value is 24.131. The positoior displacement of condylar may not the only cause of TMJ pain,.The X2 value is 1.527.6. The COF had no significant changes between patients with positoior displacement of condylar and patients with normal condylar position. Conclusions:The phenomenon of positoior displacement of condylar was common in TMD patients, and the female patients was more than the male patients, which indicated positoior displacement of condylar may be a potential cause. The COF had no significant changes between patients with positoior displacement of condylar and patients with normal condylar position. This may indicate there were more than one cases that could influent the COF. The patients with condylar positoior displacement have difference with the patients with normal condylar position, which indicated positoior displacement of condylar may be a cause of TMD. |
