ObjectiveTo observe the effect of Compound durian shell ointment in the treatment of atopic dermatitis (AD) to study the clinical efficacy and safety of patients.Methods90 patients were randomly divided into 3 groups, each group was compos ed of 30 patients. The compound durian shell ointment group purely apply compound durian shell ointment. The glucocorticoids group apply the glucoc orticoids;the combined group aplly compound durian shell ointment combine d topical glucocorticoids. The total treatment course was 4 weeks. To obser ve and score the three groups respectively in the beginning of the clinic al test、the second weeks and the fourth weeks,and observe the patients i f untoward effect occured in the treatment. Finally follow up the recurren ce rate when the treatment finished.ResultsThe results showed, after 4 weeks treatment, the total effective rate of the compound durian shell ointment group was 46.6%, the hormone group was 60%, and the combined group was 80%. The curative effect of the combined group was obvious better than the other two groups, and the difference wasstatistically significant. The SCORAD score of the patients of the three groups were declining during the treatment, but there was no significant difference after 2 weeks treatment. The SCORAD score of the combined group were obvious better than the other two groups after 4 weeks treatment, andthe difference was statistically significant. The DLQI and the CDLQI scocesof the combined group were obvious better than the other two groups after4 weeks treatment, and the difference was statistically significant. Followed up for 8 weeks, the recurrence rate of the treatment group was obviously reduced.ConclusionThe compound durian shell ointment has a definitive effiency on treating AD. The ointment could greatly improve the AD patients’symptons in the aspects of severity、skin eruptions、lesion sleeping and quality of life. Treating eczema by compound durianshell ointment combined topical glucocorticoids could decrease the dosage of corticosteroids, no obvious adverse reaction, less recurrence, and better long-term curative effects than the glucocorticoids.
