The Study Of Self-efficacy And Its Related Factors Of The Aged Hypertensives In Lanzhou Urban District

Objectives:1. To describe the status of the aged hypertensives’self-efficacy in Lanzhou urban district.2. To identify the influential factors related to the aged hypertensives’self-efficacy in Lanzhou urban district.3.According to the factors of research objects, put forward he feasible suggestions to help improve the quality of life, reduce the adverse effect of disease.Methods:The Cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on 224 convenient selected the aged hypertensives being physical examined in Medical Examination Center. The survey was performed, using the self-designed form, questionnaires on basic information about hypertension, Medical Outcomes Study Social Support Survey (MOS-SSS-C) and social support self-efficacy scale for hypertension (compiled by Yang Biping). The completed questionnaire was used to measure the aged hypertensives’basic information, knowledge level, social support and self-efficacy. Epidata (version 3.1) was used to entry data, SPSS (version 17.0) was used for statistic description, one-factor analysis and multiple linear regressions, and the Smart PLS (version 2.0) was applied to perform structure equation model analysis.Result:1. In this study, the average score of hypertension-related knowledge of the research was (3.10±1.34),totally in the middle-level. The result also shows that most research objects know the hypertension judgment standard, and most of them on the awareness of the influencing factors of hypertension and related diseases was not comprehensive and accurate, only 38 objects know the hypertension adverse drug reactions and its processing method.2. The research results show that the social support score was (30.17 ± 8.75),totally in the middle level, and the score of emotional support was (7.91±2.56),the score of daily life score was (7.75±3.11),the score of social interaction was (6.16+2.42) and the information support was (5.34± 2.72),this shows that the objects was got social support did not reach their level of satisfaction. The use of community resources are not fully, the score of utilization of community resources was (6.00 ± 2.38).3. The score of 224 aged hypertensives’ self-efficacy in Lanzhou urban district was (24.90 ± 9.06),the four dimensions in addition to health behavior at the higher level, the rest of the various dimensions of the majority of research object in the middle level, shows that the self-efficacy was unsatisfactory.4. The multiple linear regression results shows that the education, complication, daily life support, information support, utilization of community resources were the influencing factors of the research objects’self-efficacy; sex, education, social interaction support, utilization of community resources were the influencing factors of the health behavior dimension; education, family income, family medical history, daily life support, information support and utilization of community resources were the influencing factors of medicine dimension; residential types, sicken years, daily life support, social interaction and information support were the influencing factors of compliance dimension.5. Structure equation model analysis showed that social support, residential type, utilization of community resources, disease characteristics, family income and education were the influencing factors of the aged hypertensives’self-efficacy.Suggestions:1. Health institutions should change the traditional ways of health education, pay more attention to the psychological state of patients.2. To help the elderly hypertensive patients get more social support, improve the utilization of social support.3. The measures of enhancing self-efficacy should be implemented in the chronic disease management.
