Objective:Defects in the CT scan are the radiation dose and contrast induced nephropathy patients accepted. According to some reports in the literature of the latest contrast induced nephropathy, the probability is very small, and almost does not exist. However, the mechanism of contrast induced nephropathy is not very clear, but the clinical contrast agent induced nephropathy of the idea is still very common. Therefore, patients underwent CT scan contrast agent injection still should be as low as possible, as long as meet the diagnostic requirements can be. In addition, accepted CT scanning of the radiation dose is of clinical concern. On the low tube voltage (100kV), low concentration of iodine contrast agent and conventional tube voltage (120kv), the traditional concentration of two groups were analyzed, comparing the image quality (objective image quality evaluation, subjective evaluation of image quality), to explore the low tube voltage, low concentration of iodine in head and neck vascular CT angiography (CTA) application results during the inspection.Methods:60 healthy volunteers who took angiography of head and neck vessels were randomly divided into two groups.the conventional group and the double-lower group(n=3),and compare the image quality.the grade of CT value and the radiation dose of double-lower group (with lower、tube voltage、lower concentration of iodine contrast agent) with the conventional group in head and neck CTA examination.Result:There was no statistical significance between the double-lower group and the conventional group in the measurement of ROI-CT value (P>0.05).The image quality score of MCA in the double-lower group is lower than that of the conventional group (P<0.05).But the difference was not statistically significant in terms of other ROI imaging scores (P> 0.05).The SSDE (shape-specific dose estimates) and DLP (dose length product) value of the double-lower group is obviously lower than the conventional group (P<0.05)Conclusion:Using low concentration of contrast agent and low tube voltage with the traditional concentration of contrast agent and the tube voltage scanning compared, no significant difference in image quality is obtained, but the radiation dose of the former than the latter and iodine dosage decreased significantly, which indicates that the low radiation dose, low iodine contrast agent concentration in head and neck vascular angiography combined application of CT (CTA) the examination is feasible.
