Objective: To investigate possible associated risk factors of respiratoryfailure after esophageal cancer resection, in order to provide the basis for reducing the incidence of RF and individualized prevention..Methods: 58 postoperative respiratory failure of esophagectomy cases were collected in our hospital from january 2011 to december 2013, 344 patients without postoperative respiratory failure of esophagectomy were extracted randomly during the same period as controls. All possible factors influencing the result were included in our research. The risk factors of RF was used by univariate analysis. excluded gender, age, address, smoking history, different cancer location, histology grade, pathological type, tumor size Operation method, operation time, identical parts, ASA. χ2 test and t test analysis were used to analyze the risk factors. In the study Operation time Inclusion criteria: first all patients with surgical indication; Second, all have clear postoperatively in patients with pathological diagnosis; Third, complete all of the patients clinical data. Exclusion criteria: first, hospital not in patients with esophageal cancer surgery; Second, the postoperative pathology confirmed as benign lesions; Third, patients with complete clinical data; Fouth, usually, or intraoperative and focal excision of lung. Application of the single factor analysis of risk factors for postoperative respiratory failure. Using SPSS20.0 software on all the above information for statistical analysis. Results:Univariate analysis showed that risk factors of respiratoryfailure after esophageal cancer resection were associated with Operation time, FEV1 / FVC, Gender, Long-term heavy smoking, Operation method, Consistent parts. Conclusion:Operation time, FEV1 / FVC, Gender, Long-term heavy smoking, Operation method, Consistent parts are independent risk factors for respiratoryfailure after esophageal cancer resection.Pay attention to improve patients’ preoperative preparation and organ function status. Guide patients to exercise effectively lung function.
