Objective:To study clinical effect of Tao Hong Si Wu Tang and Wu Wei Xiao Du Yin and subtract on inflammatory response after total knee arthroplasty, which can help provide a better curative effect of comprehensive therapy for clinical treatment.Methods:70 patients who implemented with the primary unilatera total knee replacement were chosed according to a standard line, and were randomly divided into experimental groups (35 cases) and control groups (35 cases) by using statistical software. The control groups were processed with conventional treatment, while the experimental groups took orally Tao Hong Si Wu Tang and Wu Wei Xiao Du Yin and subtract (1 agent one day and oral for 14 days) on the basis of experimental groups. Comparing two groups of patients with serum TNF-a, IL-6, CRP, swellingextent, visual analog pain score and range of motion 1 day before operation and 3,7,14 days after operation.Results:1.Serum TNF-a:Comparison between groups:there were no significant differences between both groups 1 day before operation (P>0.05); the experimental groups 3,7,14 days after operation were lower than those in the control groups (P<0.05). Within group comparisons: those 7 days after operation were lower than those 3 days after operation and those 14 days after operation were lower than those 7 days after operation in both groups (P<0.05).2.Serum IL-6:Comparison between groups:there were no significant differences between both groups 1 day before operation (P>0.05); the experimental groups 3,7,14 days after operation were lower than those in the control groups (P<0.05). Within group comparisons: those 7 days after operation were lower than those 3 days after operation and those 14 days after operation were lower than those 7 days after operation in both groups (P<0.05).3.Serum CRP:Comparison between groups:there were no significant differences between both groups 1 day before operation (P>0.05); the experimental groups 3,7,14 days after operation were lower than those in the control groups (P<0.05). Within group comparisons: those 7 days after operation were lower than those 3 days after operation and those 14 days after operation were lower than those 7 days after operation in both groups (P<0.05).4.Swellingextent:Comparison between groups:there were no significant differences between both groups 1 day before operation (P>0.05); the experimental groups 3,7,14 days after operation were lower than those in the control groups (P<0.05). Within group comparisons: those 7 days after operation were lower than those 3 days after operation and those 14 days after operation were lower than those 7 days after operation in both groups (P<0.05).5.Visual analog pain score:Comparison between groups:there were no significant differences between both groups 1 day before operation (P>0.05); the experimental groups 3,7 days after operation were lower than those in the control groups (P<0.05). Within group comparisons: those 7 days after operation were lower than those 3 days after operation and those 14 days after operation were lower than those 7 days after operation in both groups (P<0.05).6.Range of motion:Comparison between groups:there were no significant differences between both groups 1 day before operation (P>0.05); the experimental groups 3,7 days after operation were better than those in the control groups (P<0.05). Within group comparisons:those 7 days after operation were better than those 3 days after operation and those 14 days after operation were lower than those 7 days after operation in both groups (P<0.05).Conclusion:Tao Hong Si Wu Tang and Wu Wei Xiao Du Yin and subtract could effectively remendy the inflammatory response after total knee arthroplasty to help the body recovering.
