The Preliminary Clinical Reserch Of Spectral CT About The Txtture Judgment In Pituitary Adenomas

Objective Pituitary adenoma is one of the common intracranial saddle areatumors. Microscope surgery and endoscopic transsphenoidal surgerybecomes the main ways of surgical treatment of pituitary adenoma surgery.The preoperative judgment of tumor texture has the important referencevalue for the operation choice and intraoperative strategies. Spectral CT isa new way of multi-functional and the diversity of qualitative analysis, butthe related research is very little. The research purpose is preliminary touse the Spectral CT studying the pituitary adenoma texture and guideclinical surgery.Methods From December2011to March2014, collecting the cases ofpituitary adenoma were36cases in ren ji hospital. According tointraoperative showing, the tumors texture has three groups: soft group (24cases), medium group (8cases) and tough group (4cases). Examininghead spectral CT enhanced scan in Preoperative, using the professional analysis software analyzes the spectral attenuation curve. Collecting datas:(1) gender and age,(2) pathological pattern,(3) CT value of spectral CT,(4) the slope of the tumor tissue and frontal white matter for each case,(5)the density values of Water (Iodine), Iodine (Water),Water(Calcium),Calcium (Water) drawing and white matter in the arterialand vein phase.Result Collected the patients’ clinical features such as genders, age, andpathological type for statistical and study analysis about pituitary, Therewere no significant difference(P﹥0.05).Collected the CT values, thedensity values of Water (Iodine), Iodine (Water), Water (calcium) andcalcium (Water) drawing, HU slope of the arterial and vein phase inpituitary adenoma and white cortex and internal carotid ROI by thespectral CT for70Kev, the research shows no significant differencebetween tumors and CT values(P﹥0.05).However, the pituitary adenomas’tissues are associated with the density values of Water (Iodine), Iodine(Water), Water (calcium) and calcium (Water) and HU slope of tumors inthe arterial and vein phase (P﹤0.05).Conclusion the pituitary adenomas’ tissues are associated with the densityvalues of Water (Iodine), Iodine (Water), Water (calcium) and calcium(Water) and HU slope of tumors in the arterial and vein phase. Spectral CT provides the new idea and tool for texture judgment, meanwhile, andprovides the favorable imaging basis for further surgery about pituitaryadenoma.
