Objective:Using Patient-Generated Subjective Global Assessment (PG-SGA) to investigate thecommon malignant tumor nutritional status, and describe the incidence rate of malnutrition incommon malignant tumor; Describe the common malignant tumor patients’ nutritional supportstatus1week before admission; Discuss the relationship of malnutrition in different age groupsand neoplasm staging; Discuss the relationship between the PG-SGA qualitative, quantitativeevaluation and the single nutrition indicators, patients’ activity ability; Compare the influence ofthe common different malignant tumors’ nutritional status on the recent clinical outcomes (aliveor dead). Methods:Adopted fixed point continuous sampling, selected the common malignant tumor patientsadopted within48h by the first hospital affiliated to Jinan university and Guangdong medicalcollege affiliated hospital from May2013to March2014, and mastered patients’ basic datathrough the electronic medical record system, using PG-SGA to do the nutrition assessment forthe patients, inquired about patients’ nutrition support situation in detail1week before admittedto hospital, and the physical examination and the laboratory examination (albumin, hemoglobin)was performed on the patients (including: Height, weight, body mass index, upper arm midpointcircumference, triceps skinfold thickness, the upper arm muscle circumference), and the patients’living or death situation30days after the survey was followed up. Enter the data into thedatabase, using SPSS16.0to have relevant statistical analysis.Results:1. Adopted about204cases of common malignant tumor patients, the overall incidence ofmalnutrition on admission was64.7%,incidence of malnutrition in patients with malignantdigestive tumor is78.3%, which was higher than that in patients of non-digestive tumor, thedifference was statistically significant, P<0.05; PG-SGA grading≥9patients who were badlyin need of symptoms improved and nutritional intervention occupied the rate of39.7%, only6.9%patients’ PG-SGA scoring was0~1, and did not need intervention measures. 2. Rate of patients who suffered from malnutrition and accepted nutritional support1weekbefore the admission was10.6%, mainly enteral nutrition.3. PG-SGA scoring between different age groups and neoplasm staging has no statisticaldifferences, P>0.05.4. Analysis of variance show that as the nutritional status become worse(PG-SGA qualitativeevaluation), single nutrition indicators decrease gradually, the difference is statisticallysignificant, P<0.05; The linear correlation analysis show that PG-SGA scoring (PG-SGAqualitative evaluation) and each single nutrition indicators have negative correlation, thedifference is statistically significant, P<0.05.5. Analysis of variance show that the higher the PG-SGA scoring is, the lower the karnofskyperformance status is, and the worse the patients’ acting ability are, the more statisticallysignificant the difference is, P<0.05.6. The recent clinical outcomes (alive or dead) of different nutritional status are notstatistically significant, P>0.05.Conclusion:1. The occurrence rate of malnutrition in common malignant tumor patients is64.7%; themalnutrition incidence of gastrointestinal malignant tumor is higher than non-gastrointestinalmalignant tumor patients;39.7%patients with malignant tumor need nutritional interventionbadly when admitting to the hospital.2. Most of the malnourished malignant tumor patients who can not accept nutritional supportin the community.3. PG-SGA evaluation is significantly correlated with the single nutrition indicators and KPSscore, and it is suitable for nutrition assessment of patients with malignant tumor.
