Objective:To observe the safety and the influence on related index of liver afterimplanting slow-released fluorouracil at residue liver and gastrocolic omentum duringsurgical resection of primary liver cancer(PLC).Methods:Collected40cases from all the patients with primary liver cancer who wereadmitted to Departmentof Hepatobiliary Surgery,General Hospital of Ningxia MedicalUniversity and accepted operation treatment (resection of liver cancer) from March2012toMarch2014,in which there were implantation group(implant slow-released fluorouracil afterhepatectomy)20cases, the control group(only treat with hepatectomy)20cases. The serousvalues of WBC、Cr、BUN、ALT、AST、TB、ALB、AFP and its decline rate were measuredin all40patients1day before and7days、1month after operation, and the total drainage、hospitalization days after operation、 the state of wound healing were measured too.Results:7days、1month after operation, there were no significant difference(P>0.05)between two groups in ALT、AST、Cr、BUN、TB、ALB、WBC and hospitalization daysafter operation、the state of wound healing, but compared to each other, the total drainage andthe decline rate of AFP are statistically different(P<0.05). Conclusions: Implanting slow-released fluorouracil during surgical resection ofprimary liver cancer does no harm to blood system、renal function、 ALT、AST、TB、ALB(related index of liver),although it may increase the total drainage,it does nothing to thehospitalization days after operation and the state of wound healing, the safety ofslow-released fluorouracil is proved. Compared to control group, the decline rate of AFP inimplant group is obviously higher which shows that slow-released fluorouracil maybe helpfulto inhibited proliferation of residual cancer cells and intrahepatic metastasis in a short periodafter hepatectomy. But whether it can reduce recurrence and metastasis rate after surgicalresection of PLC, improve survival rate, need large sample and long-term follow-up.
