Objective: The purpose of this clinical study was to evaluate the aestheticeffect of three cases in the restoration of maxillary anteriors which usemulti shade resin restoration technique and FiltekTMZ350XT compositeresins. The oral digital photography was taken. The important factors andclinical points in the application were also discussed.Methods: Three patients whose teeth have Class lV defect was selected.Before restoration the pulp vitality was tested. If it turned out to be pulpitisor pulp necrosis, root canal therapy must be applied firstly. The moderateto large proximoincisal defects were restored with multi shade resinrestoration technique. Wax-up and silicone rubber lagging,shade-matching,rubber dam, caries removing, teeth preparation, selective etching, bonding,multi shade restoration technique, occlusal adjustment and fine polishingwere completed progressively. The aesthetic effect was evaluated byanalyzing the oral digital photography in Photoshop software. Results: The three cases using multi shade resin restoration techniqueachieve aesthetic effect.Conclusion: Analyzing optical properties of the natural teeth accurately andusing composite resin reasonably help dentists to gain aesthetic result inthe case of maxillary anteriors multi shade restoration technique. |
