Objective To observe the pain threshold of related acupoints of healthy people andpatients with gallbladder diseases, and provide digital basis for clinical acupointdiagnostics and acupoint selection of gallbladder diseases treated by acupuncture. Methods A thorough data sheet of acupoints selected in this study was made, then pickout the patients with gallbladder diseases (patient group) and healthy volunteers (normalgroup) aged from19to64, male or female. The pain threshold of the acupoints wasdetected by pain threshold measurement instrument (0~650g). The acupoints detectedwere in bladder meridian, gallbladder meridian, liver meridian, spleen meridian, stomachchannel, ren meridian, du meridian and others related meridian. The deteted painthreshold was to record in Excel database, process statistical analysis by using statisticalsoft wares. The results should be written in mean±standard error and the comparison oftwo groups examined by t-test. P<0.01shows significant difference; P<0.05showsstatistic significance; P>0.05shows that there is no statistic significance. Results The testee includes30healthy people,30patients with gallbladder diseaseswhich consist of14patients with cholecystitis and16patients with cholelithiasis. All thetestee is aged from19to64.1) The threshold of bladder meridian of the patient groupwas compared with that of the normal group, which shows that the result of leftJueyinshu, Dushu, Geshu, Ganshu, Danshu, Pishu, Weishu, Sanjiaoshu, Qihaishu,Dachangshu, Guanyuanshu, Xiaochangshu, Pangguangshu is P<0.01; the result of rightJueyinshu, Dushu, Geshu, Ganshu, Danshu, Pishu, Weishu, Sanjiaoshu, Qihaishu,Dachangshu, Guanyuanshu, Xiaochangshu, Pangguangshu is also P<0.01.2) Thethreshold of lower-he-sea acupoint of the patient group was compared with that of thenormal group, which shows that the result of left Yanglingquan, Zusanli, Shangjuxu,Xiajuxu and Weizhong is P<0.01; the result of the right Yanglingquan, Zusanli,Shangjuxu, Xiajuxu and Weizhong is also P<0.01.3) The threshold of the majoracupoints, liver meridian and gallbladder meridian of the patient group was comparedwith that of the normal group, which shows that the result of left Riyue, Zhangmen,Qimen, Jingmen is P<0.01and that of Taichong is P<0.05; the result of the right Riyue,Zhangmen, Qimen, Jingmen is P<0.01and that of Taichong is P<0.05.4) The threshold of the major acupoints, spleen meridian and stomach meridian of the patient group wascompared with that of the normal group, which shows that the result of left Gongsun,Tianshu, Sanyinjiao, Yinlingquan, Daheng is P<0.01; the result of the right Tianshu,Daheng, Yinlingquan is P<0.01and that of Sanyinjiao and Gongsun is P<0.05.5) Thethreshold of the major acupoints, Ren meridian and Du meridian of the patient group wascompared with that of the normal group, which shows that the result of Guanyuan, Qihai,Zhiyang, Xiawan, Zhongwan and Shangwan is P<0.01.6) The threshold of othercommon acupoints of the patient group was compared with that of the normal group, which shows that the result of left Quchi, Dannang, Hegu, Neiguan and Houxi is P<0.01;the result of the right Quchi, Neiguan, Houxi, Dannang is P<0.01and that of Hegu isP<0.05.Conclusion The results showed that pain thresholds of the relected acupoints ofpatients with gallbladder diseases be lower than that in normal. The sensitivity hasheightened. Particularly, the decline is much more apparent for the threshold of Bladdermeridian,Zusanli, Riyue, Jingmen, Zhangmen, Qimen, Guanyuan, Qihai, Xiawan,Zhongwan, and Shangwan and Zhiyang,Dannang. The result also could provideindications for clinical diagnosis and acupoints selected to acupuncture to treatgallbladder diseases.
