In today’s society, facing the fast pace of life, the intense competition, theenormous pressure of work, study and life, many people often work overload atthe expense of their health. They also have irregular eating and unbalanced diet, whichleads to gastric mucosal injury. Their immunity reduces and disease resistance drops, thuscausing the body’s "sub-health state" at last. They are characterized by weakness, insomnia,forgetfulness, susceptibility to colds and epidemic, even sudden death. Relevant statisticsshow that there are about70%people in sub health state in our country. The scale andseverity of sub-health population is not optimistic. Researching and developmenting healthfood to enhance immunity, protect gastric mucosa, eliminate sub health, improve people’squality of life and physical quality is very urgent.This subject comes from the supervisor’s horizontal cooperation projects, aiming atdeveloping and developmenting health food Shenhu tablets, whose main ingredient areDendrobium officinale Kimura et Migo and Panax quinquefolius L, and whose function isto enhance immunity and protect gastric mucosa. The cooperative enterprise is engaged inplanting the rare and precious medicinal plants Dendrobium officinale Kimura et Migo. Thedry and fresh Dendrobium officinale Kimura et Migo have begun to enter the market. Todevelop health food products with Dendrobium officinale Kimura et Migo is an importantgoal of this enterprise.By consulting relevant literature, referenceing physicochemical properties modern,pharmacology and clinical application of the active ingredients in Dendrobium officinaleKimura et Migo and Panax quinquefolius L, and according to 《Technical standards fortesting and evaluation of health food》(2003), we test whether different Shenhu formulashave the function to enhance immunity and protect gastric mucosa. In enhancing theimmunity experiment, Shenhu formula1and formula3can significantly antagonizedcyclophosphamide induced immune organs (thymus, spleen) atrophy (P <0.01or P <0.05), formula1and formula3can obviously improve the phagocytic index K and phagocyticindex α of mice (P <0.01or P <0.05), and formula1and formula3can obviously enhancethe mouse ear swelling against cyclophosphamide induced delayed hypersensitivityinhibition (P <0.05). Data show that Shenhu formula3is better than the formula1. Inprotecting gastric mucosa experiment, Shenhu formula1and formula3can significantlyprevent gastric mucosal injury caused by ethanol (P <0.01), ulcer inhibition percentagewere72%and62%, better than the positive control drug weinaian group (42%). Becausethe formula3in enhancing immunity is superior to Formula1, and the formula3andformula1is almost the same in protecting gastric mucosa, the formula3is selected asShenhu formula of the subject at last.According to the medicinal materials in the formula’s role, with its active ingredientsas indicators, optimize the extraction process of Dendrobium officinale Kimura et Migo andPanax quinquefolius L by the single factor experiment and orthogonal experiment.Ginsenoside Rg1, Re, Rb1transfer rate reachs92.96%and Dendrobium polysaccharide is89.95%. Comparison of atmospheric concentration and reduced pressureconcentration, ambient pressure drying and vacuum drying, optimize the concentrate-dryingprocess of Shenhu extract. Through the single factor experiment, select the type and amountof filler, wetting agent and lubricant. Using the hygroscopicity and liquidity of particles andthe appearance and hardness of tablet as indicators, optimize the best molding process. Thethree batchs of Shenhu products pilot plant experiment shows that the preparation processis stable, reasonable and feasible.This subject studies on the quality standard of Shenhu tablets from traits, tablet weightvariation, TLC and content determination and so on. Set up TLC identification method ofAmerican ginseng in the Shenhu tablets, and UV method for determination the contents oftotal saponin and polysaccharide in Shenhu tablets. Preliminary determination of standardcontent of Shenhu tablets for each piece contains not less than18mg total saponin, and notless than120mg polysaccharide. The three batchs of Shenhu tablets have carried on thepreliminary stability experiment, including the influence factors experiment,6monthsaccelerated experiment and6months long-term experiment. All the indicators are in linewith the standard, so the tentative products are valid for2years.After this research, we selected the efficacy-best Shenhu formula. Optimize the bestextraction process of Dendrobium officinale Kimura et Migo and Panax quinquefolius L,which solved the status that the extraction transfer rate of Dendrobium polysaccharide is not high. At the same time, we also completed the study on moulding process of the Shenhutablets, and establish the quality control standard. Three batchs of Shenhu products pilotplant experiment is basically consistent with the experiment results. Product technicalparameters are stable. The experimental research achieves the expected results, which canprovide the basis for the enterprise production and the industrialization of Shenhu tablets.
