ObjectivesTo observe the effective dose, curative effect and clinical safety of low-dose citalopram and low-dose doxepin in the treatment of generalized anxiety disorder, and to compare clinical differences between two drugs.MethodsTake78patients with generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) randomly divided into two groups:group citalopram(20mg) and group doxepin(12.5mg) for continuously citalopram,or doxepin treatment for12weeks. We wrote down the score of Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HAMA),Psychic anxiety factor (F1),Somatic anxiety factor (F2), Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD) respectively at0,4,8,12weeks after citalopram treatment,or doxepin treatment. By evaluating the change of HAMA、F1、F2、HAMD score of the patients with GAD, we analyse the clinical effect of two drugs on the patients with GAD. At the end of treatment, we calculate the cure rate, improved rate, effective rate of HAMA in the two groups patients with GAD respectively, to compare the efficacy and clinical safety of two drugs. In addition, to observe the adverse reaction during treatment, we also evaluate clinical safety.ResultsCompared with pretherapy, the HAMA, F1, F2, HAMD score of two groups GAD patients are decreased after treatment (P<0.05), and with the extension of treatment time, the downward trend were more significant in the HAMA, F1, F2, HAMD scores (P<0.01). At12weeks after the treatment, the clinical curative effect and the incidence rate of adverse reaction had no significant statistics difference between low-dose citalopram treatment group and low-dose doxepin treatment group. Conclusion Through the above study results, we evaluated results of total curative effect between the two groups; and found that both low-dose citalopram and low-dose doxepin have fine effect on GAD patients. Moreover, the overall effect of two drugs had no obvious statistics difference, and the safety of the two drugs was good.
