| Objective:To analyse mitral flow E/A ratio in evaluative meaning of atrioventricular geometry changing in different age groups in hypertension patients. Methods:To adopt the method of retrospective survey,1082patients with essential hypertension (male549, female533) were analyzed, according to the E/A>1and E/A<1divided into two groups, then according to age divided two group into:young group, middle-aged group, older group, and to measure left atrium diameter index (LAI), left ventricular mass index(LVMI), systolic blood pressure(SBP), diastolic blood pressure(DBP) and pulse pressure. Results:(1) LAI increased with age in E/A>1and E/A<1groups. LVMI increased with age in E/A>1groups, but decreased with age in E/A<1groups.(2)The E/A ratio was negatively correlated with LVMI, SBP and DBP (r=-0.377,-0.353,-0.226, P<0.05) in young group. The E/A ratio was negatively correlated with SBP and DBP (r=-0.269,-0.350, P<0.05) in middle-aged group. The E/A ratio was positively correlated with LADi (r=0.243,.P<0.05) in older group. Conclusion:The correlation between E/A ratio and atrioventricular remodeling were different in all ages:With the increase of the age, the change of the E/A ratio is closely related to the ventricular remodeling in young group and is closely related to the atrial remodeling in older group. |
