A Systematic Review Of Randomized Controlled Trials Comparing Minimal Invasive And Traditional Open Surgery For Treatment Of Acute Achilles Tendon Rupture

Objective:Systematic review the clinical effects between minimal invasive and traditional open surgery for treatment of acute achilles tendon rupture.Methods:Computer Searched in PubMed,Cochrane Library,Ovid,CBMdisc,EMbase,CNKI,WanFang database and manual consulted relevant journals of orthopedics in China.Searched literatures for randomized controlled trial in relation to the comparison of the clinical effects between minimal invasive and traditional open surgery in the treatment of acute achilles tendon rupture and set inclusion and exclusion standards,moreover, there were2researchers responsible for the independent extraction of data and the evaluation of methodological quality.Evaluation index include patient satisfaction,incidence of re-rupture,AOFAS score, ankle range of motion,superficial wound infection,deep wound infection,tissue adhesion,incision scar and operation time.Then the Meta-analysis was conducted using RevMan5.2software.Results:A total of7RCTs were included.Among total328patients.The results of the systematic review were showed as follows:compared with traditional open surgery, minimal invasive had higher patient satisfaction after operation and less superficial infection (P<0.05). Moreover,there was no statistical significance in differences between incidence of re-rupture, deep infection, tissue adhesions and incision scar.(P>0.05). Conclusions:Compared with traditional open surgery, minimal invasive had higher patient satisfaction after operation and less superficial wound infection.The result was limited by the quantity of research samples and methodological quality,therefore,the intensity of its argumentation shall be improved through further development of additional large samples rigorously designed and high quality RCT.
