The Clinical Study Of Yishen Tongluo Prescription Combined With Zoledronic Acid In The Treatment Of Lung Cancer With Bone Metastasis

Objective:Advanced lung cancer can metastasize to bone, survival time and quality of life of patients are affected in different degrees. In this study, a randomized controlled clinical research, objective evaluation of Yishen Tongluo Prescription in treating bone metastasis from lung cancer of kidney deficiency and phlegm and blood stasis type, provide a theoretical basis and method for the treatment of bone metastasis from lung cancer by integrated traditional Chinese and Western Medicine.Methods:40cases of inpatients (April,2013-March,2014) from Jiangsu Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine were chosen and randomly divided into two groups.20cases of control group were treated with zoledronic acid only, another20cases of trial group were treated with Yishen Tongluo Prescription combined with zoledronic acid. Efficacy endpoints (pain level, clinical symptom, KPS score) and safety indicators (blood routine, urine routine, stool routine, ECG, liver function, kidney function) were observed before and after treatment to evaluate efficacy and safety.Results:The overall palliative pain relief rate in trial group was75%, which was40%in control group. The relief rate of clinical symptom was85%in trial group and55%in control group respectively. In terms of KPS score,90%of patients in trial group was stabilize or improved,70%of patients was stabilize or improved. All the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The adverse reactions of two groups were light, the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05).Conclusion:The treatment of lung cancer with bone metastasis by Yishen Tongluo Prescription combined with zoledronic acid or zoledronic acid only were both safe and effective. The treatment by Yishen Tongluo Prescription combined with zoledronic acid can relief pain, improve clinical symptom and the quality of life, and has not increase the adverse reactions. It confirms that Yishen Tongluo Prescription is of high safety. It’s valuable to promote clinical application and further research of Yishen Tongluo Prescription.
