Residual cardiovascular risk refers to the guidance of the currentevidence-based treatment (low-density lipoprotein cholesterol standard, good control of blood pressure and blood sugar), is still a major largevessels and microvascular events associated with abnormal lipids.HDL-C is an independent predictor of cardiovascular events. Recentlystudies have showed that on the intensive lipid-lowering effects by statins, targeting HDL-C may cause further benefits for patients withcardiovascular disease. In recent years, a number of studies aimed toelevating HDL-C, in order to observe the reduction of residualcardiovascular risk. Multiple traditional or new drugs of elevating HDL-Chave been used in clinical studies, but the results have not come to beuniformed yet. This paper is a review of the correlation studies of HDL-Cand the residual cardiovascular risk.
