Recently, the application of Nephron-Sparing Surgery has beengrowing in treatment of renal tumor, and the using indication ofNephron-Sparing Surgery is increasing, including tumors of over4cm, as theproficiency of surgical procedure by operators enhancing. Nephron-SparingSurgery can reduce the risk of chronic kidney and cardiovascular diseasesand improve the overall survival in renal tumor patient after surgicaltreatment, compared to Radical Nephrectomy. However, Nephron-SparingSurgery may also lead to positive surgical margins, which influences thetumor recurrence and overall survival or not is still discussed ongoing. Here,Nephron-Sparing Surgery and positive surgical margins are reviewed. |
