Objective:To discuss BIS how to change in the different age group and gender group of patients in the same alveolar effective concentrations of sevoflurane. To observe the HR and MAP how to change in the different age group and gender group of patients after induction in sevoflurane.Methods:60patients were divided into two groups according to age, Respectively Y group (young group),O group (Old group),then the Y group were divided into two groups according to gender, as the same to do in the O group. Respectively, MY group (Male young group) and FY (Female young group), MO (Male old group) and FO (Female old group). All the patients did not make any medicine before inducing. After went into the operating room, each patient was monitored the direct arterial pressure, BIS value and inhalation anesthetic gas concentrations; in addition to routine ECG monitoring. Anesthesia induction used8%sevoflurane, oxygen flow rate of6L/min, when the BIS value of50or less and maintained1min later, inserted corresponding model LMA depending on the patient’s weight. After LMA was inserted, the sevoflurane concentrations was adjusted to2%, meanwhile, Patients maintained spontaneous breathing and maintaining end-tidal carbon dioxide concentration of35-45mmHg; when the inhalation gas monitor displays that the alveolar gas concentration was2%and maintain10min.Bis values was recorded when the alveolar gas balance, as well as the heart rate and mean arterial pressure, then, to observe the changes of BIS values and hemodynamic. Results:The BIS of the younger group (Y group) is lower than the BIS of the older group (O group); p<0.05.In the young groups, The differences of the BIS decrease between the sexes was not statistically significant, p>0.05; the same as the older groups. The increased magnitude of the heart rate between the young groups and the older groups was not statistically significant, p>0.05. The changed magnitude of the mean arterial pressure in the young groups was lower than the older groups,p<0.05. In the young groups, Heart rate(HR) change and the mean arterial pressure both were not statiscally significant, p>0.05;Conclusion:1. In the same sevoflurane alveolar concentration, the decreased magnitude of BIS of the patients in the older groups was greater than that of the patients in the young groups;2. In the same sevoflurane alveolar concentrations, the variability magnitude of heart rate in elderly patients was similar to younger patients; 3. In the same sevoflurane alveolar concentrations, the decreased magnitude of mean arterial pressure (MAP) in elderly patients is greater than that of the patients in the younger group;4. In the same sevoflurane alveolar concentrations, in the patients of the same age group, the variability magnitude of BIS, heart rate and mean arterial pressure did not differ significantly between different sexes.Figures6, Tables6, References68.
