The Analysis Of Uterine Artery Embolization And Systematic Methotrexate On The Efficacy Of Cesarean Scar Pregnancy

Objective:The objective of the study was to assess the efficacy of Uterine arteries embolization (UAE) combined with hysteroscopic treatment for the treatment of cesarean scar pregnancy (CSP).Methods:From January.2010to July.2013,67women with pregnancy within cesarean scar successfully treated by UAE or MTX were studied retrospectively in The First Hospital Affiliated to Xin Jiang Medical University.All the patients were allocated to a UAE group (35cases) or an MTX group (32cases),which all was followed by suction curettage. The intraopetative blood loss, hospitalization time, the time till resolution of serum-β HCG, time for CSP mass disappearance, Successful rate and complications were analyzed among those two groups. Results:Sixty-five patients were successfully treated. For all clininical indicators of UAE group and MTX group,the intraoperative blood loss were (32.00±8.06) ml and (71.41±20.7) ml; hospitalization stay were (12.46±5.0) days and (16.16±5.4) days; time for CSP mass disappearance were (50.74±22.0) days and (68.44±35.6) days;the till time resolution of serum-β HCG were (37.63±12.4) days and (61.25±20.7) days, these difference was statistically significant between two groups (P<0.05).the time for recovery period are (40.80±11.36) days in UAE group and (43.38±9.9) days in MTX group, and has no significant difference groups (P>0.05).one patient in MTX group had an emergency hysterectomy after15says because of massive viginal hemorrhage. Conclusion:uterine artery embolization combined with hysteroscopic treatment appears to be a safe, effective and maybe the priority option.. It can significantly reduce the hemorrhage of curettage, shorten the time of β-HCG reduced to normal and shorten hospital stays. It was also non-trauma, high success rate and retained reproductive function., save patients’ life and provided the opportunity for other treatments.
