Objective:To investigate the association between polymorphism of V4,F+1in ADAM33gene and COPD in a northwestern Uighur population. Methods:A total of100Uighur COPD patients and a control group of140healthy volunteers were recruited for this study. Genotypes were determined by restriction fragment lengthpolymorphism (PCR-RFLP). In the study all of the objects have a Epidemiological investigation, involes assessing modified british medical research council(mMRC), COPD assessment test (CAT), pulmonary function test Etc. The100Uighur COPD patients are assessed by Revised2011. Results:There are more patients of A.B and C grade about22%,35%and30%; There is no statistical significance in the distributions of the V4、 F+1alleles between patients and controls that observed (P=0.788、P=0.795).There’s no There is no statistical significance between SNPs in ADAM33(V4、F+l) with the decreased lung function (P=0.440; P=0.872) and the grade of COPD (P=0.439、 P=0.646).Conclusion:There’s no association between polymorphism of V4,F+1in ADAM33gene and COPD in a northwestern Uighur population.
