Objective: To explore the correlation between the expressions ofTGF-β1&α-SMA and seizures of rats after intracortical injection of ferricchloride and explore its role in occurrence of rats seizure. Methods: Rats(childhood and adulthood)were treated with anintracortical injection of FeCl3and normal saline, the occurrence of seizureswere under observation;TGF-β1in cerebral spinal fluid(CSF)was tested byELISA;the expressions of mRNA and protein of α-SMA were detected byRT-PCR and Western blotting. Results: Epilepsy seizure was only observed in FeCl3childhood group;TGF-β1and α-SMA expression ranks top1in FeCl3childhood group. Conclusion: Childhood rats were more susceptible to seizure thanadulthood rats with higher level of TGF-β1and α-SMA expressions;implying that the growth of TGF-β1and α-SMA expressions might be theone of key mechanisms in seizure. |
