The Retrospective Research On The Cases Of Professor Zhou Zhongying Treating CKD From The Interaction With Wind And Dampness Based On Data Mining

[Objective] Base on proven cases, accumulated under a long-term treatment of chronic kidney disease (CKD) from interaction with wind and dampness by Professor Zhou zhongying--also known as a national medical master, using modern latest information technology as a means of data mining methods to study his clinical experience and academic thoughts of treatment for CKD. In hope to return to improve the clinical treatment for CKD from interaction with wind and dampness and expand TCM knowledge.[Methods] By closely following Professor Zhouzhongying in a long term clinical practice, collect all the CKD related cases during the past10years. The accumulation data are strictly rescreening to meet the standard criteria. The results are107cases with672clinical follow up. All the clinical data are using Medcase V3.2software to establish clinical case collections and database storage; moreover, using comprehend frequency distribution, cluster analysis,associated condition to focus on defining and analyzing the core prescription and the association with symptoms and pathogenesis, in the end sum up the result and draw a conclusion.[Results] Totally107patients, male is55cases and female is52cases. The oldest is82years old while the youngest is4years old, with an average age of43.51years. Frequency of TCM disease name top of two is edema and low back pain, above50%. Frequency of western disease name top of two is chronic renal insufficiency and chronic nephritis, above50%, too. Frequency of symptoms top4above for:,low back pain, thist, edema and albuminuria. Pathogenesis aspects, dampness related is88.1%, pathogenesis frequency for blood stasis, turbid, wind, sputum and toxic pathological factors respectively is48.2%,26.7%,11.3%,7.4%,6.3%; The herbs used more than300times are:Tufuling, Shengdihuang, Liuyuexue, Zexie, Huangbai, Fuling. Frequency more than50%are:Tufuling, Shengdihuang and Liuyuexue. The herbs used more than200times are:Guijianyu, Cangzhu, Zelan, Shanyurou, Danpi, Xuanshen, Xianlinpi. One of the most important pathogenesis is wind. Using dispelling wind durgs is374times and occurrence rate is19.5%. Especially in the wind pathogenesis is up to28.4%.[Conclusion]1. CKD located in the kidney, involving the liver, spleen, lungs, stomach and heart.2. Pathological factors with dampness, blood stasis, turbid, sputum and toxic primarily, throughout the evolution of CKD, are always the key factors in increasing CKD. The beginning of the pathological factors are interaction with wind and dampness.3.CKD evidence pathogenesis normally belongs to fundamental deficiency and symptoms surplus. Fundamental deficiency including spleen and kidney and deficiency of liver and kidney is the essence. The upper Jiao of hot-dampness is external. Treating wind-dampness should dispel wind, promote fluid and moisturize dry.4. Treatment of chronic kdney dsease from the interaction with Wind and Dampness, Mr Zhou is divided into lung-wind blocking the dampness, spleen-wind blocking the dampness and kidney-wind and blood stasis.5.Tradional Chinese medical use:Mr Zhou emphasized the importance of the herbs which should have more merits. To edema, Mr Zhou like to use Tufuling, Liuyuexue. The herbs which ispel wind and promote fluid are Tufuling, Liuyuexue, Hanfangji, Fuping, Jiangcan and Difuzi. Mr Zhou use the couple of herbs are Tufuling&Liuyuexue and Tusizi&Guijianyu, etc.
