The Strategy Of Lung Protection In Mechanical Ventilation

Objective To supply the theoretic reference for mechanicalventilation and to attenuate VILI andimprove the survival rate.Methods With the keywords “mechanical ventilation lungprotection ventilator-induced lung injury”, a computer based search ofPubmed was undertaken to recognize the articles about mechanicalventilation published, the language was limited to English. The materialswere selected firstly and free full texts were searched. Inclusion criteria:1.the basic and clinical study on mechanical ventilation；2.the study of lungprotection. Exclusion criteria:1. reviews.2. repetitive study; Over500articles about mechanical ventilation were searched,in which58were fittedfor the inclusion criteria.Synthetical evaluation In the58articles,25were about themechanism of VILI,and33were lung protection of mechanical ventilation.These literatures were analyzed from the mechanism of VILI and thestrategy of lung protection to summarize the strategy of lung protection andthe development of management during mechanical ventilation. Conlusion With the further study of lung protection in mechanicalventilation, management of mechanical ventilation will be more and moreeffective and reasonable.
