Objective:The aim is to study the expression of TGF-β1and β-catenin in endometrium of mild or moderate intrauterine adhesion patients and the comparison of estrogen and growth hormone therapy.Methods:Selected30infertilized patients which have nomal endometrium as control group(group A).Selected30cases who diagnosed with mild or moderate intrauterine adhesions as the study group (group B),then randomly divide the30cases into two groups (group B1and group B2). Patients of group B1were treated with Estrogen, while patients of group B2were treated with growth hormone. Then detect the TGF-β1mRNA and β-catenin mRNA in endometrium of each group and the menstrual volume and the thickness of endometrium were recorded.Results:1. Menstrual volume was increased after the use of estrogen or growth hormone, the curative effects of the two drugs are of no statistically significant(X2=1.178, P>0.05).2.The endometrium thickness of patients who were treated with estrogen before and after were respectively (6.43±1.29mm) and (8.03±1.36mm), pairwise comparisons are statistically significant (P<0.01). Likewise, the endometrium thickness of patients who were treated with growth hormone before and after were respectively (6.00±0.83mm) and (7.58±1.01mm), pairwise comparisons are statistically significant(P <0.01).The endometrium thickness of the two groups that before cured were of no statistic significance (P=0.324),and the endometrium thickness of two groups that after cured were also of no statistic significance (P=0.362)3. The endometrial expression level of TGF-β1mRNA in group A and B was respectively (3.47±1.15) and (8.48±2.72),pairwise comparisons are statistically significant(P<0.01). The endometrial expression level ofp-catenin mRNA in group A and B was respectively (9.99±4.30) and (23.05±5.28),pairwise comparisons are statistically significant(P<0.01).4.The endometrial expression level of TGF-β1mRNA in patients who were treated with estrgon before and after was respectively (8.92±2.60) and (4.91±1.58), pairwise comparisons are statistically significant(P<0.01); and the endometrial expression of β-catenin mRNA in patients who were treated with estrgon before and after were respectively (23.26±2.73) and (12.26±4.60),pairwise comparisons are statistically significant(P<0.01). The endometrial expression level of TGF-β1mRNA in patients who were treated with growth hormone before and after was respectively (8.01±2.13) and (5.28±1.28), pairwise comparisons are statistically significant(P<0.01); and the endometrial expression of β-catenin mRNA in patients who were treated with growth hormone before and after were respectively (22.41±2.76) and (11.16±1.51), pairwise comparisons are statistically significant(P <0.01). The endometrial expression of TGF-β1mRNA in the two groups’patients before cured was respectively (8.92±2.60) and (8.01±2.13), pairwise comparisons are of no statistically significance (P>0.05), The endometrial expression ofβ-catenin mRNA in the two groups’patients before cured was respectively (23.26±2.73) and (22.41±2.76), pairwise comparisons are of no statistically significance (P>0.05), The endometrial expression of TGF-β1mRNA in the two groups’patients after cured was respectively (4.91±1.58) and (5.28±1.28), pairwise comparisons are of no statistically significance (P>0.05), The endometrial expression ofp-catenin mRNA in the two groups’patients before cured was respectively (12.26±4.60)and (11.16±1.51), pairwise comparisons are of no statistically significance (P>0.05),5.There is no correlation between the expression of TGF-β1andβ-catenin in endometrium of infertile patients(r=0.197, P=0.297>0.05);there is a positive correlation between the expression of TGF-β1andβ-catenin in endometrium of intrauterine adhesions patients in each group(r=0.480, P=0.007<0.01; r=0.755, P=0.005<0.01; r=0.683P=0.005<0.01).Conclusions:1.The menstrual volume and the thickness of endometrium were all increased after the use of estrogen or growth hormone.2. The expression levels of TGF-β1mRNA and β-catenin mRNA incresed in endometrium of intrauterine adhesions patients; the therapy of estrogen and growth hormone can all decrease the endometrial expression level of TGF-β1mRNA and β-catenin mRNA.3. TGF-β and Wnt/β-catenin may correlated with the formation of endometrium fibrosis.
