Objective Yuzhong third-grade class-A hospital to understand thestatus of the Critical Care Medicine Hospital Infection,Analysis of thereasons for their susceptibility to common pathogens and nosocomialinfections, provide guidance to reduce the incidence of nosocomialinfection.Method Continuous acquisition the hospital infection-relatedinformation of Intensive care unit in Yuzhong District five hospital,Cross-sectional studies of its prevalence, the common site of infection,common pathogens, and to analyze the reasons for their infection.Results The nosocomial infections rate in2013is6.58%, thenosocomial infection incidence per patients-day in2013is12.51‰.Ministry of Health reached Critical Care Medicine Hospital infectioncontrol requirements. Common sites of infection were: Respiratory(58.91%), urinary tract (28.29%), blood (8.91%). The patients withnosocomial infection who staied in ICU is longer, APACHII score is higher, the average age is older. Use "three" patients more susceptible tonosocomial infection. The hospital withoutContinuous aspiration of subglottic secretion, Timing Cuff pressuremeasurement, Oral care with chlorhexidine is higher incidence ofVAP.Co-culture of302strains of Pseudomonas aeruginosa which27.81%;Acinetobacter baumannii20.86%; big field coli15.56%. high degree ofresistance.Conclusion The study of five hospitals in Yuzhong District infectionrates in line with hospital infection control standards; Common site ofinfection in the respiratory system is the most common;Ventilator-associated pneumonia is the highest incidence; ICU stay for along time, high critical degree, elderly patients and patients Used " threetubes " are more prone to nosocomial infections.Continuous aspiration of subglottic secretion, Timing Cuff pressuremeasurement and chlorhexidine oral care can reduce the incidence ofVAP.Pseudomonas aeruginosa is the most common bacteria. high degree ofresistance. In the absence of clear support based support pathogen orpathogens is not strong, the empirical selection of cefoperazone-sulbactam,polymyxin and tetracycline antibiotics may be in force in Yuzhong Districtof ICU.
