Objective:1.To investigate the main influence factors of social communication in ADHD.2. To investigate the social skills in ADHD.3. To explore whether the social cognition problem in ADHD is the same to the social cognition deficit in autism spectrum disorders (ASDs).Methods:60children or adolescents of ADHD (patients group) and120typical development children or adolescents (control group) and their parents or their nurse engage our study. The children or adolescents are in8to13years old. Their parents or nurse will finish Child Behaviour Checklist, parts of Strength and Difficulty Questionnaire to show their problem of social communication, other behavior problem or emotional problem, Social Responsiveness Scale to reflect their problem of social cognition, social skills scale to reflect their social skills. The children or adolescents will finish Children’s self-concept Scale to show their problem of social communication, other behavior problem or emotional problem.Results:1. Contrast to the control group, the scores of peer relation in SDQ and behavior problem in CBCL, the patients group scores higher; the scores of pro-social behavior in SDQ,social motivation in SRS, social skills scale and PHCSS, the patients group scores lower(P<0.01). According to the scores of social cognition in SRS, we can not regard that they are the same(P>0.05).2. By multivariate logistic regression, we find that the risk factors of social communication in ADHD are attention deficit, rule-breaking behaviors; the favorable social motivation and social skills are protective factors.Conclusion:1. The ADHD patients have the social communication problems. Attention deficit/hyperactivity and rule-breaking behaviors are main reasons inducing their social commnication behaviors. And the appropriate social motivation and social skills can keep them from the social communication problem.2. The ADHD have social skills deficit and social performance deficit.3. We have not found that the social cognition in ADHD is similar to the social cognition in ASDs.
